YC ready for rehab?

We just returned yesterday from our first "Adults Only" trip to WDW. This was my 6th stay at the YC and we were a bit disappointed this time. It just seemed a bit shabby. We were in room 2074 and the wallpaper in the bathroom was beginning to peel, the doorframes needed paint, the sprinkler collar was hanging loose, the towels smelled, there were light bulbs burned out. It seemed like the edge was missing. At the end of our hall was a stairway and it was filthy and had a burned out light the whole time we were there. There was even a broken handrail outside that stairway that caught and tore my shorts.

So, does anyone know if the YC is scheduled for a refurbishment? I do remember on one of our trips they were redoing all of the rooms but I think that was a long time ago.

All in all, we love the YC and would stay there again... although this trip made us think about trying another hotel on our next trip.

Not sure of the last refurbishment, but I believe there was one in 2002/2003. BC was being refurbed when we stayed at YC in 2003.

We were there in Oct and loved it, we stayed in room 1091 and it was great...except for the beds...all Dis resorts should get the heavenly beds that the Swan has
