Ok all you YC & BC goers..I have a question....we have a relative who just called tonight to book a room only for four nights starting July 28th. She was looking into CBR or WL when the CM told her that she could book the YC for $179 per night. Well, she jumped right on that offer (as would have I) but after some research she has heard that there is rehab or some sort of contruction at the YC, can anyone tell me for sure? She is not wanting to stay there if there is construction going on as she has two small children who need their beauty sleep. Anybody with any information on this subject please post a reply so I may relay it on to her.

Thanks in Advance for all of your Help!!

We just got back from BCV on 7/15. The only renovation we saw in either resort was some work on the end of BC - pretty close to Epcot. They had scaffolding up along the building covered with tarps so you couldn't see what they were doing. From the noises and what we could see, it looked like they were doing power washing, painting and some residing.
No work was visible at YC and the work at BC seemed to be just during the daytime.

We are just back from our trip to the YC, and it is completely done with refurbishing.

As SueM in MN mentioned, we saw some boarded off areas in the BC by the volleyball sand court, but I couldn't tell what they were doing.

That is a great rate, and I wouldn't hesitate a second to grab it at the YC!

Just got back in first week of July and the rehab was just painting being done under the tarps as Sue m mentioned. Absolutely NO NOISE. This was the quietest place we went to while at WDW.

I'm amazed at that rate. Is that considered an upsell rate? Just a random, lucky thing that happens? I'd like that luck.

I recently read on Mousavers that some people are having luck getting that rate as an upsell due to lack of availability at the moderates. It is definitely better than the AP rate!

I just got back the middle of June and only saw rehab at BWI with scafolding and such. They seemed to be painting the outsde but not sure :D
