YC or BC ?

DH, DW, DS - teenager and DD - tween will not sleep together.
All love SAB.

YC - better balconies , better standard views ? more daybeds ? closer to boat launches ?

BC - lighter colors ? less formal ?

But we need a daybed and would love a full balcony with a better standard view.

Where should we stay - YC or BC ?

We had a room at the Yacht Club and needed a daybed because we are a family of 5. They did not have anymore rooms with daybeds so they gave us a rollaway cot. I don't think you'd be unhappy at either resort. You won't feel the YC is too "formal" at all.

I am trying to figure out the same thing. I had reservations in 2001 for the BC because I always wanted to stay there. We were doing the BC CL and they had closed it for a period of time while they were building the villas. I was always afraid it was to formal but it is not. We we back in 2003 to bring the DH and it was our best disney trip ever. We decided to stay at the POLY CL last year and did not like it nearly as much. WE are going back in Sept and I booked the BC CL but keep thinking I should stay at the YC CL. I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Family of 4 with two girls 8 &almost 10. We didn't find the YC stuffy at all! I call it "quietly elegant". I don't think you'll go wrong with it, we had a rom with 2 queens and a daybed, also got an upgrade to WV.

YC is not stuffy at all , just quiet. We always get the daybed and the balcony is great. Now I want to go back!

From what I saw, the BC is lovely, but the YC seems to be a step above in general decor. OTOH there seem to be more business people at the YC. I'm certain either one will provide excellent service. Can't beat SAB!

Thank you to all who replied and CaipiraBob's YC adventure.
We will be at the YC.

I looked at a map of the 2 resorts - the YC is closer to the marina.

I hope to have a bump up from our standard room. A view of any water would be nice.

We just returned from the YC and spent a bit of time over at the BC too, I really like the YC A LOT! It wasnt formal, but it was quiet and relaxing and the service was better than anywhere else we have stayed on property. The beach club seemed very nice too, but I would be so bummed to not get the full balcony...unless I had a first floor room with a patio that is all the way at the end by the walkway, that way you could walk out of your room out the little gate and stroll right into Epcot
