Hi Gang,
Just returned from a 2 day stay at YC concierge (3/30-4/1). It was true pixie dust as it was a complimentary
upgrade. It was a real treat having all that food available for most of the day. Breakfast offerings were the best, a large assortment of fresh tasty pastries and good fruit. The evening snacks didn't ring our bell, perhaps if they had kept the hot items warmer they would have been better. Cold quesadillas, quiche, fried peppers, etc. were unappealing. The desserts were delicious, especially the coconut cake and little key lime tarts. They made a big deal of Easter, lots of decorations on all the goodies and cookies that the kids could decorate with tubes of icing. We didn't use the staff's services much but found some to be much more pleasant and helpful then others. Our party consisted of my sister, myself and our Mom. We had booked 2 queen beds and were given a king with a daybed. When we saw the room and told the CM on duty it wouldn't work, she said (in an annoyed manner) "Well, you have a daybed." ,as if we should settle for that and be happy. They didn't have a queen room to give us, but gave us a 2nd king at no charge. So we had 2 rooms on concierge for the price of 1 water view. We did also have a large balcony that overlooked the walkway to the lobby and the lake. We enjoyed the Illuminations fireworks from there. It's funny, we always preferred the BC over the YC in the past. This trip the YC seemed to be kept up better, cleaner and more elegant. Think it's our new fav! Happy to answer any questions.
