YC CL garden view rooms

When I booked my stay for next week, I booked a garden view room at YC on CL. I made the reservation by phone and was told that the room would overlook a garden. I just looked at the Disney site and this is the view description for a YC CL garden view room:

Has anyone here paid for a garden view and overlooked a parking lot?

Kim - Not to worry, if you indeed booked a "garden view" room and not a "standard view" room, your view will be just that. The "standard view" CL rooms do have view of parking lot / roofing. We have stay in a YC CL standard view with view of roof and a BC CL garden view with lovely view of gardens.

The Disney website does differentiate between YC CL standard and garden view. Per the website "Concierge Garden View Rooms offer views of a garden. All rooms have two queen-size beds or one queen-size bed, table and chairs, ceiling fan, private balcony, vanity......".

Per the Disney website regarding YC CL standard view - "Standard View Rooms are located on the fifth floor and offer views of a parking area or rooftop. Concierge service at the Regatta Club, located on the fifth floor....."

Hope this is helpful, we simply love the Yacht and Beach club. Enjoy!

We stayed YC CL GV and overlooked the parking lot, but it was great. Our balcony was huge and shared by several other rooms. It did look out on the parking lot, a little bit, but it wasn't bad at all. I thought it was really nice.

Housetomouse - sorry did not know rooms overlooking front entrance are considered "garden view". I have seen the shared balcony - very nice.

Kim - you could request "overlooking wedding gazebo" or "overlooking back entrance" - think a few of those rooms are "garden view" and would for sure not give you a parking lot view.

Around `17 months ago Disney reclassified their rooms. Prior to this a YC GV room was anything NOT a waterview which was the pits - you could get a roof top or a gazebo view! Now with the reclassification there ARE FIVE YC CL GV rooms. 4 are wedding gazebo, my favorite bc you also get a sideways look at the lagoon. And the other option is the room right over the walkway into the resort. Pretty but personally wedding gazebo is nicer.
