Just wondering how quick they are to close the pool area when there is a report of possible thunderstorms, but with no actual thunder occurring at the moment. On other September visits often we've been allowed to swim through rain but have had to exit due to imminent thunderstorms.

Wondering what your experiences have been-will they just close the pool at the first sign of rain? Or will they hold off for imminent signs as well as the official word? Thanks.

It's not necessarily the rain but the lightening & thunder. If the lifeguards see/hear they will ask everyone to leave the pool deck. I think there have to be no signs for 30 minutes (20 ?) before allowing guests back in the area.

Ahh, thanks, yes, that 30-minutes-with-no-lightning/thunder rule rings a bell.

At least Epcot and the Boardwalk are right nearby so you can amuse yourself while you wait for the pool to re-open if it comes to that.
