Thank goodness they had another seat sale so we're able to book a quick trip in October for the Halloween Party! We have our tickets and the flight is paid for, PPH at $139/night - it's all good

Yay! :cool1: Are you going on a Friday or a weekend? That $139 PPH rate sounds great! Is that an AP holder rate? My darn PIN discount rate for PPH was $159 (October 3- 5), although I see that some folks got the $149 PIN offers! Drat!

Yep, it's the AP7 rate for Oct 17-19, so Friday and Saturday. This is going to be one very reasonably priced vacation :woohoo: Never thought I'd say that regarding a Disney vacation.

I know! 'Reasonable' and 'economical' almost fly out the window when any Disney trip is concerned, Because, even if you have a one-day ticket and plan only one day, the infamous 'Disney Snowball Effect' takes hold and it turns into more than that, in some way or other. The fever takes control! I know I could stay at one of the Good Neighbor Hotels and be more fiscally conscious. Everyone here speaks so highly of HoJo's and Candy Cane Inn, so one day I will make it to one of them. But I just LOVE staying in the middle of the magic, at one of the three Disney hotels. And even though PPH is the most basic of all of the hotels, it is still a little of the Disney magic. I love the perks involved, such as having the purchases sent back to the hotel rather than schlepping them around the parks or stuffing them into overpriced lockers. That system works very well for me. If I had the funds or came into a sudden windfall, I would always stay at GCH, simply for the location and convenience of it, which lends itself to getting a lot more done when we are there, so it does have its very practical advantages. But in the meantime, I can stay at PPH (and even my $159 rate is good, considering their usual 'off-peak' rates) and just wander through the DLH grounds and through the GCH lobby and envision the next time I will be able to stay there!
