...but it wasn't without incident! LOL

I had narrowed it down to American Airlines or Jet Blue. At first I thought Jet Blue was the airline where they don't let you book seats in advance and it's the "cattle call" at the gate, but then some kind DISers set me straight :thumbsup2

For the last day or two, Jet Blue had AA's prices beat by only $20, but also I had found out that Jet Blue has the in-seat entertainment, and my family really enjoyed that the last couple of years on Song.

So this morning I sat at my desk, DH's credit card in hand, and *tried* to book our flights. :surfweb: THREE times I got an error message that didn't make sense, but part of the message said "use a different credit card". I KNOW that this particular credit card has over $10,000 available credit, but then I thought maybe our credit card company had flagged the account because I had used this card over the weekend to pay off our cruise, and also the resort for our May Disney trip. So, I called them and they said the card was fine, no flags on the account.

I called Jet Blue and told them the situation and at first the person I spoke to said she'd be happy to book the flights for me, but I wouldn't get the "internet discount" which added up to a total of $40. Well, $40 isn't a lot, but then it put Jet Blue at a higher price than AA was. Again, not a lot of money, but hey, I'd rather have it my pocket than theirs. Also, I was letting the price help me decide which airline to choose. When I explained this, she asked me to hold on while she spoke to a supervisor. She came back and told me that they'd book the flights for me and give me the same price as the internet. I was very satisfied with this, so I booked the flights.

The customer service rep was very friendly and very helpful. She even recommended that we take the exit-row seats so that DSs and DH would have extra leg room. She even checked to make sure that my younger DS, who will be 15 by the time of our trip, was old enough to sit there. And she was very patient while I checked out what SeatGuru had to say about the seats. :teeth:

So now I'm happy, the cruise is paid for, our flights are booked, and I'm happy to be giving Jet Blue a try. :sunny:

I want to thank everyone who has replied to my posts and threads during the last few months! :wave2:

I think you'll be VERY happy with your Jet Blue experience. We've been pleased with all our trips with them, and I have another one coming up in 4 weeks!!!

Aren't their CSRs wonderful???
