Yay! A fifth weekend has been added to Star Wars Weekends!

We were going to be down there for the fourth weekend but with extended family down and it being their first trip, we decided to suck our own desires in and avoid the madness so they could enjoy a "normal" day at Hollywood Studios.

Well, lo and behold the news comes across today that a 5th Weekend was added and it is just the weekend we will be onsite by ourselves after the rest of the family head on back home!



Any guess where we'll be on Friday the 13th of June?

Yay!!!! We were so bummed to learn that we would miss it by 1 weekend. We had already planned to be there on the 14th so this works out perfectly! Now I just need to mentally prepare myself for the crazy crowds that will undoubtedly be there. May the Force be with me!

I saw that on FB today, and the last weekend is the weekend that our kids get out of school and DH and my 12th wedding anniversary....I was checking airfare for that weekend...not to shabby...

But, we are already going for 10 nights in August, so convincing DH will be tough....We are AP holders so no ticket costs....I've got some work to do this weekend.

Yes, Disney is adding more money by increasing the number of weekends and cutting expenses by cancelling Hyperspace Hoopla. There is a shocker!

I love that they're adding a weekend! We're taking a trip from June 7th-14th, and were planning to spend Saturday and Sunday at DHS for Star Wars weekend. We can't be there on Friday, but now we'll have a chance to go on the 13th too, if we want to!

They've also added the special Star Wars fireworks show each night, which has been said to be amazing, so I'm super excited to see that too.

I was also very shocked to read that they would be taking away the incredibly popular Hyperspace Hoopla. Last year I was more than a little bummer and irked that they had cut the parade into basically half of what it was. But they made up for it a bit by also showing the Hyperspace Hoopla on the big tv by the AI Experience. Now they are cutting it?!?!?! The Hyperspace Hoopla was something that we'd always make sure we saw, even if we were at a different park during the day.
