Yavn has not said which costumes will be returning anything you hear otherwise is just speculation.


Do not put too much stock on it.

They were already released twice, so I doubt they will. However, that red cowboy shirt looks like it will come out!

Any speculation on how long these costumes will stay on sale? I just got a quest kiosk and I've been on a spending spree lately. I know I'll have a while to save, but between all the new Tron items and the costumes, a lot of credits will be down the drain.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think last Halloween, they had a "Costume Week", and each day they had different costumes for sale - but they were only for sale that one day. The next day, there were different costumes for sale. But I'm pretty sure it only lasted a week.

Believe me, there was a lot of mule-ing going on.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think last Halloween, they had a "Costume Week", and each day they had different costumes for sale - but they were only for sale that one day. The next day, there were different costumes for sale. But I'm pretty sure it only lasted a week.

Believe me, there was a lot of mule-ing going on.

Actually all the costumes stayed out after their release day until after the 31st. Only the gray mansion suit was out for one day.

If they release the red cowboy shirt they will either have new pants and things to go with it or they will rerelease the cowboy stuff they have already sold. VMK sells full costumes so if they do the shirt you can bet there will be pants and boots and a hat to go with it.

I purchased a great deal during Halloween week. What I remember was that each day costumes came out. But over the weekend it seemed like all were available. Shortly after Halloween (like the next day or two but don't remember) the costumes were gone.

I also do seem to recall the grey HM costume out for only one day. The costume release went something like:

Monday: A princess dress and a cowboy outfit
Tuesday: Different color princess, native american
Wednesday: Black HM outfit
Thursday: Grey HM outfit
Friday: Princess dress in different color
Weekend: All costumes availabe except HM grey

Now this is not actually what costumes released when, but that was sort of the set up/scenario that played out that week. I just remember having to log in each day to try to get what was out. And I remember long lines to get into the emporium where I believe they were sold.

Shoppers Alert!
Our costume department has been busy restocking for Halloween, and our shops will soon be overflowing. We'll be adding new outfits each day next week:

Oct. 24: Princess (yellow), Explorer (yellow)
Oct. 25: Cowboy (black)
Oct. 26: Princess (Pink), Native American
Oct. 27: Explorer (Green), Cowboy (Brown)
Oct. 28: Haunted Mansion suit (black), Princess (blue)
Oct. 31: Haunted Mansion suit (grey)
All of the above outfits will disappear from the shops when VMK closes on Halloween, so be sure to get yours, and maybe a spare!

Also, reading back, some of these costumes had already been out in September last year but then disappeared. They made a reappearance for this particular costume week. This sort of gives us a good idea of what may come.

Well, another Halloween in VMK, and this time very different: I am almost positive that those prices will go up. VMK Inflation. More credits are put into the pockets of VMK Joe, thus VMK can raise some of those prices. From what I've heard, 500 credits were a lot back then. But now with such games as Pirates and Haunted Mansion, getting credits has become a lot easier. I do not forget my little credit-tactic: Everest Level 3. My guess is that the cost of some of these costumes will double, effectively making it around 5,000 credits per full costume.

Now as for the costumes themselves? Let us look to Yavn's exact wording:

I'd also start saving those credits... with Halloween fast approaching you never know what costumes may be on sale again, or for the first time ever.

So, they will be rereleasing stuff. But what costumes have been retired that could be rereleased? Not Everest or HSM. There are going to be tears shed by all the new players that overpayed for retired costumes, no doubt. I know it seems tragic, but I strongly believe that the HM suits are going to return.

As for the new items? Let us keep in mind that one word that seems to be on everyone's lips... "Pirate." I believe we may see our old friend Clanker again, this time for sale. I also see a brand new Pirate costume (one that may include that darned bandana!) or another version of the Jack Sparrow costume (not the exact same as it would kill the spirits of some trades).

I also believe the week will be taken up by new versions of old stuff. Red Cowboy, Brown HM suit. Also, perhaps, a new color of the Tron Costume. There could possibly be new versions of every costume that has ever come out, including Everest, HSM, and Baseball, but we will have to see.
