We 're having a yard sale tomorrow and Saturday (4th one this year! :earseek: Can you tell that we really want to go to WDW? ) and I was wondering if anyone has sorted their items by price instead of by category? For example, most of my items fall into 1 of 6 categories.... $.25, $.50, $1.00, $2.00, $3.00, and $10-$25. Instead of putting all the toys together, I was thinking about putting $.25 toys on the $.25 table, $.50 toys on the $.50 table and so on and so forth. Has anyone ever done a yard/garage sale this way? What kind of results did you get? Do you think this is a good idea or should I sort everything by category? Thanks for your help!:teeth:

We've done that before with clothes and toys. Didn't sell too many clothes but WOW we sold a bunch of stuff out of the $.25 box! Paents would let their kids rummage around for 4 toys & then pay a dollar. Those dollars really add up! Good luck this weekend! :wave2:

depending on what you are selling, people can really play havoc with you. They will pick something up and carry it around and then change their minds and just leave in on any table. If you don't have many different items you will be ok, but if you have a lot of stuff, it could create a problem. I have had much more luck pricing each item, pricing like items the same, or having a bag sale, just fill a bag for a set price. good luck.
