Hello Budget Boarders,

I am having a yard sale this weekend and would like your opinion on pricing. My MIL gave me a lot of old records to sell and I don't know what to price them at. Do you have any suggestions?

I also have a lot of country music CDs that a friend gave me. They appear to be in very good condition. Do you think I should sell those on eBay or at the yard sale? How much would you charge for CDs at a yard sale? Thanks for your help!

Maybe check out e-bay for similar items. I imagine the prices on e-bay are better than at a garage sale for those items.

If you do not want to do e-bay, then I would put them as a "lot" at the garage sale or sell them separately. I believe at a garage sale you are not going to get more than 50cents per album and maybe $1.00 per CD.

Good luck.

It's time consuming but you should check each album on ebay..and if they dont do well on ebay then put them in the yard sale..no more then $1 each

We had a yard sale recently and I sold 2 CDs for $2 each. One was Burl Ives Xmas, and the other Amy Grant Xmas. I have sold CDs in past yard sales for $2 each also (Dh & I had duplicates). You could always mark them $2, then take $1. Just a thought...

we have a place here that pays CD's thats called music-go-round

I got $3 each for 6 Cds that my DS and DD didnt want anymore.

they pay between $2 to $5 for each cd

very easy

you could maybe check if theres anything like that in your area.

you'd probably make more then a garage sale and less of a hassle then e-bay

its worth a try

good luck

Thanks everyone for your replies!

I think I am going to check the phone book and see if there are any places that buy CDs. That seems like the easiest route so far. I would love to get $3-$5 per CD!!:Pinkbounc Thanks for the suggestion Dznypal!:teeth:

If that doesn't work out, then I will check eBay and see how the different CDs and records are selling. Thanks for that idea momxx5 and DianeV! :teeth:

If that doesn't work out, then I will sell them at the yard sale for $2 each and then take a $1 if necessary. Thanks Kristi1357 for that idea! :teeth:

Thank you so much everyone! These boards are great!!!!::yes:: :teeth:
