I always thought they were horrendously tacky but now, I'm not so sure. I think it was because I would see the same inflatable polar bear on every other lawn but now it seems like there are so many different ones. I don't know... do you think they are gaudy?

I must be on a holiday decorating kick

I love them! We have 2 for Halloween and 1 for XMas. We'll be getting more XMas ones if I have my way :yay:

I guess we like them because we have so many little ones in our extended family and they really get a kick out of them. DH won the Christmas lighting contest in our community the last three years. We just moved to a new neighborhood (different town in the same area) and all of my co-workers joked that our old neighbors were probably happy that someone else would get a chance to win this year.

Huge nay IMO. They are very tacky looking IMO and look even worse deflated. I wish our association had a rule against them.

Are you talking about the bouncing castles?

If so I think they are nice for Birthday parties and kid parties but not just for everyday sorta thing.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What they said. I think they look silly, especially the Christmas ones that are already up and lit. Good grief people, it's not even Thanksgiving yet!!

My sister lives in a townhome community and every year there is a fight to the finish with Christmas decorations! One lady put up an inflatable snowman that was almost as tall and wide as the townhouse!! :rotfl2:

It looked utterly ridiculous! We called it the snowman who ate the house! :lmao:

That said, if it's a HUGE yard and it doesn't look out of place I think it's cute.

I'm not a fan but it's basically because they freak me out when they wave in the wind.

I think they say "I'm too tired to really decorate my house for the holidays, so I'm just going to put this huge thing on the lawn and call it a day."

I like seeing them in other people's yards... they're cute and make takign a ride to see the christmas lights more fun.

In my yard and house however I prefer the white candles in every window, traditional evergreen wreaths with big red bows, and white lights on the garland (think colonial new england style) A huge santa just doesn't go :rotfl:

::yes::
They are so incredibly tacky!
We always are saying we "will not be blow-up people!"

My DH does an amazing job with Christmas lights on our house. He even won first place last year in the decorating contest for our city. I think it takes alot more creativity to light your house the 'normal' way than to throw out some blow-up contraption on the lawn. This year, we are changing our lights to make the house look like a gingerbread house. We have lots of candy cane & reg. candy lights we bought last year after Christmas. Can't wait!

My DS loves the gosh darn blow up thingies though! ;)

I like them...in someone else's yard. I don't want to have to worry about chasing them down the street everytime the wind blows hard.

IMO you can never have too many yard decorations!
