I have recently discovered Yankee Candle and I am in love with their products! I've known about them for a long time, but was never really interested in them. I've even had some in my house that were given to me as gifts, but I generally would put them on a shelf somewhere and not really give them another thought. It was extremely rare for me to actually light a candle.

Well, over the summer someone gave me a ceramic candle holder with a couple of the small candles, (tarts), as a gift. It's the kind where you put a small candle in and as it burns it melts the tart above. It was lilac, smelled wonderful, and now I'm hooked!!

Yesterday, I bought an electric burner, (I know it must have another name), and several tarts in fall scents. I couldn't believe the variety of candles and accessories the store had! Some of the Halloween candles and holders were really cute.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else likes Yankee Candle products. I love the electric burner, (maybe someone with more knowledge could tell me the correct name for this!), because I don't have to worry about flames from a candle.

What are some of your favorite scents and products? Which rooms in your house do you use the candles in the most? Are some candles better suited for different rooms/locations? There are so many different styles- votive, tarts, jars, plug-ins, etc.

You should go to the Yankee Candle factory in Deerfield, MA! :thumbsup2

I love YC. My ex-husband's wife is always buying me votives and tarts. :)

Keep your eye on the exchange thread, we will be having a Holiday YC exchange in November I think.

I love YC!!!! So much so that I am starting a job at my local store next week.

Right now I am burning Autumn Wreath. I love so many of the scents, don't know if I could list them all.

I went on their website this morning to register for coupons, and I read about their factory in Deerfield. Sounds like I might have to take a little trip! :)

We love the tarts. Right now we have a Christmas Cookie tart going. My all time fave is Pumpkin Spice though.

We like our electric tart warmer, but it doesn't seem to heat the tarts as well as the votive kind.

The jar candles are nice too, but I really like how cheap the tarts are.

We just went to a YC outlet, so I have a bag full of tarts to try now!

<--- my tag says it all :teeth:

Can't ever have too many Yankee candles!!

That sounds like fun! I've never participated in an exchange before! :Pinkbounc

They're all I buy! I usually just buy jar candles...I have an apartment, but it's 2 floors with cathedral ceilings on the main floor, and those large jar candles are the only things that seem strong enough to spread the scent throughout the place! I'm also burning Autumn Wreath now as well, but I love the watery scents in the summer. I just bought a Spiced Cocoa for winter, and I'll probably get Festival of Lights soon, too. Christmas Cookie and Christmas Wreath are nice for Christmas. I want to get a whiff of the Holiday Sage but that sounds nice as well. Clean Cotton, Sunwashed Linen, and Lemongrass Sage are good for the bathroom.

*sniff* they discontinued my favorite scent! Pineapple Paradise!

If you like Yankee you should try Partylite, I like them better.

I loooooooooove yankee candle. Right now I have the vinyard (grape) one burning when I'm home.

The exchanges are so much fun. The fall YC one is just finishing up and the holiday one should begin in Nov. We all have a good time.

I love Yankee Candle too! And I have to confess-I'm so glad I can buy them again. For the last 3 years, DS worked for a scented candle company that competed with Yankee Candle. He gave me lots of his brand, and I always felt guilty when I missed the YC scents. I'm so glad I can buy them again. But I too am bummed that they discontinued Pineapple Paradise.
Oh, yeah-editted to add that DS just got a new job this month.

Oh my gosh--I have a Yankee Candle in every room of my house...two in the family room!!

I actually registered for a bunch of YCs at Bed, Bath and Beyond for my wedding. I felt a little silly doing it, but once my husband's family found out I was a huge YC fan, I got so many pretty candles/holders/candlesticks at my shower!!

I use the jars, but I do like the votive warmers. The ones I have now are : Pumpkin Spice, Wedding Day, Vanilla Cookie, Sheer Gardenia, Sweet Honeysuckle, Cinnamon Stick, and Clean Comfort. I can't wait to get all of the holiday scents out!

I recently satrted using the tarts and now I am hooked. Do you expereinced YC lovers reccomend the electric burner over the tea light burner? I seem to go thru tea lights like mad. I love the berry tangerine

I have an electric burner, which I like just because there isn't a flame to worry about. It doesn't heat as well as a tea light burner one though. It takes a lot longer for the tart to start to melt, and around the edges it never does melt.

It could just be the specific burner I have though.

Well you don't have to look far if you are looking for Yankee Candle lovers. The DIS is full of die hards. I've tried other candles and have never found a brand I like better than Yankee. They recently discontinued my all time favorite, Seaside Holiday, but knowing Yankee, they will bring it back under another name.

My latest favorite is Ginger Citrus. I think with the exception of Seaside Holiday, I might like it better than any other I've ever tried, and I have tried many. And like you I like buying the tarts. They are the strongest smelling and I like having a variety of scents on hand without breaking the bank on the jars.

Here's a coupon, if anyone is looking:

I used my electric burner for the first time this afternoon and I LOVE it! Like you, I don't like worrying about an open flame. I was a little disappointed at first because I thought the burner would get hotter than it did, but it works great. I'm burning the Macintosh apple scent and the entire house downstairs smells like fresh apples!

I've got cinnamon stick, harvest, and autumn leaves sitting in the wings! :teeth:

I think I've found a new hobby! I want to go back to the store and sniff some more scents! :rotfl2:

i got a really pretty tart burner that looks like this http://www.yankeecandle.com/cgi-bin/ycbvp/product_detail.jsp?oid=3449232, except it is off white and has a tiny scroll pattern around the bottom and top rims, from the deefield store a couple of weeks ago. i LOVE it! i use it all the time. the nice feature of it is that i can just take the top of the burner off and throw the wax away in that, rather than have to unplug the whole thing like my other smaller one. some of the new fall scents are awesome!

Buttercream, Cranberry Chutney and Clean Cotten are my favorites.

I burn Buttercream and Cranberry Chutney at the same time and love the mix.

Cranberry chutney is my all time favorite. I heard a rumor they were discontinuing it so I went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and bought every jar they had. I should be good for about 2 years :thumbsup2
