Ok, now I am going to show my inexperience with Yankee Candles, but I have a question.

I am new to this whole tart warmer with tarts thing and I was wondering if the wax (tart) itself eventually melts away or do you have to clean out the warmer? If so, how do you remove the residue from one tart so you can burn a different one??

Thanks in advance for your help!!

You will have some residue, like any other candle. It is minimal and comes out very easily with hot water. Yankee Candles are GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:wave2: Hi Jessica.

Freeze it and it slides right now. Easy !!

the wax doesn't leave ...only the fragrance....and that varies by scent :)

Thanks Lewski and Nancy! The fact about the wax never leavign was exactly what I was looking for!

Well I'll be darned!!! My dd gave me one of these for Mother's Day last year. When we were out Christmas shopping last Friday, I bought a new one. When she asked what the problem with the one she gave me was, I told her that I wanted to change the scent but it never melted away. She just rolled her eyes back (it's a wonder they don't get stuck there!!) and told me to put it in the freezer for 20 mins. and it would just slide on out. What a dummy I am. Sheesh.

Don't feel bad goofy4tink!! That is why I asked the question here. I knew my CB buddies would have the answer!

I also just pour out the warmed wax. I know its a little more risky but I always realize I need to do it when I have it lit and its all melted.

Freezing the tart warmer upside down makes it even easier to get out - it just falls out when you pick it up! :) Don't feel bad - I wondered the same thing when I got my first tart warmer.

That's what we do, freeze it upside down!

Oooh, that's new to me, upside down! I wonder if that works with the votive holders, too?

if you put a couple drops of water in the bottom of a votive holder the wax won't stick and comes right out when you are finished with the candle.

Well, geez, you guys are wealth of knowledge!!

Thanks for the tips, especially the one about the water and the votives.

I got 3 tart warmers at Linens and things for $2.50 each. I added a few tarts and am giving them to teachers for xmas gifts.

I WILL be trying this one. THANKS! I have at LEAST 24 votives going at Christmas (12 or so at all other times).

WOW! That is the greatest tip!! Thanks so much! I am forever scraping wax outta those things even when I freeze them. Can't wait to try this out!
