She's going to be in her HS pageant tonight, her first one.The school as really taken it seriously this year. Brought in pageant coaches and hair & makeup people for the girls. They've been practising their walks and poses all week. You could cut the estrogen with a knife

If you don't mind, ya'll cross your fingers for her. There is some scholarship money attached to this pageant as well as the usual duties of a pageant winner. Whoever wins will go to the next level of pageantry, whatever that is, Junior Miss maybe? Hopefully we can get some good pictures later, if I can figure out her digital camera--I have Technology Deficit Disorder, you know.

Best of luck! I have a niece that is into the pageant scene. I know there is alot of controversy over it at times, but it has helped build her confidence and the girls that are in it are smart and well adjusted. Will definitely keep my fingers crossed for you. Please keep up posted!

Yay! DD17 placed in the top 12~ All the girls were so beautiful and every one of them had it going on. I wouldn't have wanted to be one of the judges. It was a room FULL of talent. And they used student entertainment, too, really good entertainment. DDs BF and his best friend played a trumpet & guitar duet. They are jazz musicians and those boys were amazing! I had no idea they could play so well. I was really proud of all of them.

DD really had a great time. She was poised and comfortable (all those years of performing paid off, I guees.) I got pictures of DD with her BF and with her big brother, DS24. I'll try to get DH to download the pics later and I'll post them.
