Has anyone ever eaten there. DH has it on his counter service list but looking at the menu the food doesn't appeal to me. I was wondering if it was worth a try.
It is OK Japanese style fast food. I like the beef curry rice OK, and my kids like the terryaki chicken. It isn't really anything that special, most like any fast-food-style japanese place. It is good for a disney world counter service.
We thought our lunch was good there. I had Beef Udon and loved it, my husband had Shogun Combination and he said it was good and my son loved his Teriyaki Chicken with mixed vegetables, steamed rice and he ate all the vegetables.
Another CS we like in Epcot is Sunshine Season if you are unsure about Yakitori House...I thought it one of the better CS in Disney (my son does not eat chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, hot dogs and PPJ sandwich so I have to look around for CS that more than the regular fast food.
I ate there in Jan of this year and was very disappointed in the food. I had the beef and my son had the sushi (california roll). I had high expectations because I had eaten at Teppan Edo in May 08 and it was wonderful. I assumed that the CS would be good as well and that was sooo not the case.
It isnt anything special had the terriyaki chicken and the chicken was fatty and seemed cheap but I was hungry so I ate around the fatty parts! LOL Hoping I had a bad experince
We have been there a few times, my girls enjoy the teriaki (sp) chicken with rice and veggies, it's a nice change from the burgers, hotdogs, etc served at many cs restaurants. Can't beat the $3.99 price. I like thier salad, a bit bland but I enjoy it, nice change. It's not very filling, so we eat there on a day when we have big dinner plans.
We haven't been in 3 years, but we liked it and thought it was a great value when we went. Sorry to hear the chicken is "funky" now. When we discovered it, we had young kids and had spent so much money over the week...we were thrilled with the cost, quality and seeing the girls eating some veggies
It's okay. We have really good Japanese food around here and I would definitely agree that YH is the "McDonald's" of Japanese cuisine. I do love Teppan Edo though!
