When we were at AK in 2008 Yak & Yeti was a full service restaurant.I was just looking at the menu on the Dining section and it says it is a counter service and didn't give a dinner menu. Am I missing something or did it really change to a counter service restaurant?

Yak & Yeti has both an indoor table service restaurant and an outdoor counter service restaurant.

I was just there on the 3rd and we had lunch at the Yak & Yeti CS. I had the shrimp lo main the sauce and the shrimp were really good but the noodles were super mushy. My DSis 15 had the sweet and sour chicken with rice and it was good, not as good as my local chineese delivery place and my other DSis 12 had the kids chicken nuggets and she said they tasted weird. I did try them and she was right something about them was a little off... maybe the oil they cook them in? Also the CS seating is only outside and there were very few tables with any shade. No problem when we went because it was freezing outside, but then that became an issue because we were all shivering while we ate. Not my favorite meal of the trip but I've read good reviews of the TS.

As PPs mentioned, they offer both. We had YY TS 12/16 and loved it.

We went in September 2008 for lunch at the TS and loved it (it was our second favorite meal of our trip). We were sorry we didn't get to the AK during our mini trip in September to eat there again; it is definitely on the list for our next trip.

my husband loves the steak and shrimp and I get the crispy honey chicken.
one thing, every time I have been there it was FREEZING! so bring a jacket

This has become our absolute favorite!

TS- The skirt steak and shrimp, EXCELLANT! And the fried wonton/pineapple dessert has me hungering for another trip.

CS- The food is plentiful, we always find the honey chicken and the Shrimp lo mein good. They come in cute take out containers. The Mango tart for dessert is wonderful, DIL can't get enought of them!

One tip, there are covered dining areas along the water that we usually take our food to. Won't help much if it is cold, but will help if it is hot! :goodvibes

I love Yak and Yeti. I had the Malaysian curry last time and it was sooooooo soooooo good. I was freezing and it really warmed me up. Not spicy, just steamy and delicious.
