We are going to the yek & yeti in dec. WE would like any info on type of foods they have, good or bad :scared1:

We loved it and will be back again next trip! 90% of our dining last trip was done via ADRs and this was an unknown place to us (did not have an ADR for it) but thought we'd try it out and it moved into our Must-List for next trip! They had a fabulous egg roll appetizer...

We are in the minority. We thought it was overpriced, underwhelming take-out quality Chinese food. We have been there twice and the dishes I remember that we have tried are eggrolls, fried green beans, ribs, some sort of chicken salad and a lo mein noodle dish.

The portions are huge though.

My wife and I were unimpressed with the food. The atmosphere is amazing. We were seated on the second floor next to a window overloking the parade,
which was really cool.

We both had chicken dishes and both were dry. She had the honey chicken and I had the maple tamarind chicken. I think both would have been great if the chicken wasn't dried out. However, the fried green beans were awesome, you should get those.

I hope your experience is a little moister then ours, I am sure we caught them at the end of the day and thats why we had dry food...

We ate lunch there is Sept. I thought it was very good. I had the chix dish and DH had the Mahi Mahi. I love the fried wonton desert. We decided to try it for lunch as we were in AK I called for ADRs and was told they were booked. We went over to the restaurant about 10:45 and asked if they had any openings at first she told us that they only had a 2:30 opening and I asked for an earlier time and they took us in at 11:15. When we left the place was packed. I am now putting Yak & Yeti on my must do dining list.

If your paying out of pocket its definitely "not" worth it. If your on the dining plan I would go somewhere else like flaming tree BBQ.

We are going in a few weeks! We LOVE Chinese food and Mum's favourite park is AK so its perfect. I can't wait!

Not an issue if you're not vegetarian, but they pretty much had nothing on the menu that was vegetarian as-is, and at the time I was there, there were only two things that could even be made into something vegetarian, one of them a salad and one of them an appetizer.

This wouldn't have been so bad except that the manager lied to me about it saying that the lo-mein would be vegetarian if the chicken was left out. When I asked if that meant it was NOT cooked in chicken broth/stock, she looked at me like I was crazy and said of course it's not. If she didn't know, I would have rather had her tell me she didn't know, not tell me something that was absolutely untrue.

So I ordered it without any meat in it. The server came back to the table thankfully and asked me if I ordered it without meat because I was vegetarian. When I said yes, he said I shouldn't order it then because it was cooked in chicken stock. He talked to the chef and came back with the only two options available to me.

I got lucky that the server we had was on top of things, but while the decor and atmosphere were really cool, the experience for me was definitely different than at the actual Disney-run restaurants. I'll never choose to go there again.

This was one of our best TS meals in Sept. DH had the skirt steak and shrimp, OUT of this WORLD!!, my salmon was very good, and the cream cheese wonton and Pineapple dessert was my very favorite of the whole trip. The CS side does have pretty typical chinese, but very large portions, the takeout containers are cute, and my DIL loved the mango tart dessert. I thought all 2 entrees we tried were good, the shrimp lo mein and honey chicken probably my top 2.

One note about the TS, our waitress was VERY slow after we were served. This does not typically bother me, but she was so quick to shift blame to all the "other servers she was helping" I thought was a little unprofessional. We have booked this again for Dec because we thought the food was so good!

Me me! I had the Pho and absolutely loved it! There were more shrimp than I thought possible. The side sauces and veggies made it totally "create your own meal." Wonderful!

We were there about 3 weeks after it opened and were really impressed by the ambiance. So interesting. Seating on the second floor was great. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

For desert we had the 3 sorbet combo - very refreshing.
