What comes with a quick service meal on the dining plan? I'm assuming you get an entree, drink, & dessert...but what about a side? Just curious as most QS meals on dining plan come with fries, chips, etc.. Thanks!
Maybe someone who is more familiar with the dining plan can answer better, but I believe at Y&Y you just get the entree, dessert and drink. Sides include egg rolls, fried rice, and French fries - each of which I think you can get for snack credits on the DDP (single egg roll counts as a snack, not the order of two).
The entree, whether at a QS or TS, includes everything listed in the description of the entree. At Y&Y Local Foods the Honey Chicken is described as "tempura chicken, carrots, snap peas, honey sauce and white rice" on allears so that is what you would get on the dining plan.
There is a separate section called "Sides" farther down on the menu. These items (egg rolls, fries, fried rice) have separate price points and would have to be paid OOP or by using snack credits (the purple DDP logo indicates items eligible for purchase with a snack credit.)
Note that for breakfast you only get an entree (or combo platter) and a non-alcoholic fountain beverage. There is no dessert component making breakfast not the best use of a dining credit.
We did sweet and sour chicken. That came with rice. Dessert was also included. The chocolate mousse was good! I wanted to try fried rice, but that is a snack credit. I could've easily eaten the fried rice as an entree and had been satisfied. It was plenty of food.
Yes an entree, drink and dessert. The frozen lemonade is good but when you have the dining plan they make you take it at the same time as your entree. In Summer in the heat of Animal Kingdom (not a good idea!)
