Yak & Yeti or Tuskerhouse (lunch)

So we are debating between these two - any reviews or thoughts. We are not picky eaters.

for us, Tusker House hands down.

We had HIGH hopes for Yak and Yeti, ( Table service ) and were so sorely dissapointed. The "General Tso" chicken, Ginger chicken and Lemon chicken were all pretty much chicken nuggets is sweet sauces. I guess we've been spoiled by really good szechuan and dim sum restaurants up here in Montreal, cause other people really seem to like this place, but for us, it was SUCH a downer. ( I think two people in our group of 15 thought it was "okay" ).

Plus, Tusker House is a BUFFET!

I am just a bit confused. I have looked at a copy of the menu for Yak and Yeti and I don't see any of the chicken dishes you listed above. They do have a sweet and sour and a crispy honey chicken on the menu.

Sorry, you're right, those were indeed the ones DW and I ordered ( respectively ). Some other folks in the group had other dishes off the menu. The best thing we had was the potstickers which were part of the appetizer tray, and even then, they were "okay". Of course, this is just one opinion. As I've said, others seem to like this place. But for us, we'll be steering clear...

We've been to both, but prefer Yak & Yeti. We'll be having lunch there during our upcoming trip in June.

We've been to both and like Tusker House a lot more than Yak.

From all the reviews I have read - it depends on what you get at Yak and Yeti. My DS and I both had the skirt steak and shrimp and it was fantastic! We also loved the fried green beans. I can't wait to take my DH and my brother and his family this summer.

I am not a buffet person. We will do Chef Mickeys with my nephews, but otherwise I avoid buffets.

Personally, Tusker House is one of my favorite meals at Disney. I like the variety of the buffet they have there and I am not normally a buffet person. Everything I have eaten there has always been fresh and fairly flavorful (for disney). I have yet to go to Yak and Yeti since the reviews have always been spotty and Tusker is always consistent.

I would go with Y&Y, I prefer their food and menu to TH
