They're both new since we were there, but we're going back in November and I'd like to try one of these for dinner. I'd like to hear everyone's opinions whether you've been to both or only one of them. The menus of both look good and we like both buffets and sit down restaurants.

Thanks!

We just returned this week and chose Tusker House over Yak & Yeti. I asked the CM at dining ressies when I called what his opinion was. He asked a few questions about my tastes related to the menu at each. We chose Tusker House and boy was I glad we did! It was one of our favorite restaurants this trip! The food was awesome and the set-up of the buffet food is great. There are plates under each station and the buffet area is hugh! I wanted to try an African beer and our waitress asked me what I normally drink but she was not familiar with beer so she sent over a waiter who was. They gave me a sample to try of the one I wasn't sure about and I ended up ordering the other one! Everyone was so helpful and efficient there and like I said the food was great! I would go back to eat there in a heartbeat!:woohoo:

We went to the Yak & Yeti and loved it! I almost didn't go b/c of some negative reviews that I'd read. I am so glad that we went ahead and ate there. The food was great and the atmosphere was good. Good luck making a choice!

we went to Yak&Yeti in August. if you like their menu, you'll love their portion sizes! We were stuffed after lunch! The only downfall was that we did spend an hour and a half in there. Hiowever, we did avoid the heat:goodvibes

DH and I went to Y&Y in June and loved our appies. Pics and full review in my June link

I am so surprised that some people enjoyed Yak and Yeti. We went there a few days ago and were disappointed. I had the tempura shrimp and they were greasy, super battered and gross. The sides did not match (yucky rice and veggies) and the flavors were confusing. Is this chinese food or japanese? My daughter liked her lo mein noodles on the kids menu but she was on her own. My husband had the ribs and they were dry and odd flavored. My son had the sweet and sour pork and it wasn't awful but definitely just OK.
Now Tusker House was fantastic. We were there last night and the buffet was excellent. Probably our favorite meal next to Tokyo Dining. (which is awesome by the way) Tusker had really unique foods as well as your traditional buffet foods like beef and pork roast and mac and cheese for the kids. There was chicken curry, couscous, amazing root vegetables, humus and pita, salmon, chutneys etc. Deserts were great (try the lemon bars and volcano chocolate cakes. Yum!) Excellent service and all in all, a great dining experience.
JMHO..

Is the food at Tusker House similar to Boma? I went ahead and made an ADR for Tusker House. I figured with a 6 year old, a buffet would have more options for her.

I have not done Tusker House since the change over to the buffet, but know it is popular. I have eaten at Yak and Yeti and thought, not good.. When I was looking at the links, I was thinking maybe I would book Tusker House for us in December as I liked their offerings..
