We have the option to do one, but not both. Which would you choose? 2 adults and 1 somewhat picky 6 year old.

Or, which restaurant would you choose to do for dinner after visiting AK all day? Boma is out - I'm worried about the sweet meat. :)

Thanks!

I think you can get hot dogs at Ohana which tends to be something picky eaters will eat.

I think Yak and Yeti is amazing though and really worth trying. He may like it.

He's not that picky - he'll eat steak and chicken, just not heavily seasoned or spicy.

I'd go to Yak n Yeti since it's in AK and will be easy to get to. I like both places, but I think Yak n Yeti is the better of the two as well.

The kids menu has some basic items like a burger, lo mein, and fried rice.

I would choose Yak and Yeti also for several reasons. One it would be the easiest to get to since its in the AK. #2 the food is very yummy here and desserts are awesome. #3 great choice for kids #4 interior decor is really cool to look at for you and your child.

If it was us, we would do Ohana! Animal Kingdom, for some reason wears us out and always seems to have the most impatient and intolerant guests, soooo I have basically had my fill at the end of the day.

We love Ohana! It is relaxing for us, the food is great (the bananas foster dessert is OMGoodness) and our kids have always loved the coconut races, the hula hoop games and other activities. They do have a wonderful kids meal, that my 13 year old..STILL wishes that she could get..lol I am sure either would be a great choice though.

Here's the thing about Yak and Yeti..... while I really like the food there, and the ambiance is great, the latest ADR you can get is just before the park closes at 5pm. That is waaaay too early for our family. That being said, if your family prefers to eat at such an early hour, then I would definitely go for YandY over Ohanas.

And as for your fear of eating at Boma: I have read comments about the 'sweetness' of the meats served there. But in all honesty, after eating there at least half a dozen times, I can't recall a single time that any in our group found this to be the case. And the buffet is huge! and varied, with the usual kids selection as well. Seriously doubt that your group couldn't find something to enjoy. We think this is one of the best buffets at WDW, and always look forward to some of their very special dishes.

I would choose Yak & Yeti as my first choice, but they might have less of a variety for picky eaters. I guess it depends on how picky. Ohana's would be the safer bet, while I think Yak & Yeti would be the better meal. Either one is good though, and I don't think you would be disappointed either way.

Depends on a three things... When you want to eat, what you think of AK and when you are going to WDW.

1. If you are happy to eat early then Yak and Yeti sounds like a good option.
2. If you are like us and run out of things to do at AK by 2PM then it might not be a good option to have to wait for a dinner reservation. Of course we are there at opening which not be the case for you.
3. If you are going to WDW fairly soon you may not be able to get an ADR for 'Ohana.

Ohana ... eh ... OK.
Yak & Yeti is the one restaurant my wife 'requested' (:rolleyes1) that we go back to.

Thanks for all the replies. I was able to fit both in!

I got a 6:55 Ohana - maybe we'll even be able to see the 8:00PM fireworks!

I got a 4:00 PM Yak and Yeti. I've heard you can see the parade from the restaurant and that it comes by shortly after 4:00 PM. I'm guessing this is only certain tables? DS isn't that big on parades, but it would be fun to watch while we are eating. I could get a 3:00 reservation and drag dinner out, but I don't know if we'd be all that hungry at 3:00. Or, I could push it out to 4:30 and watch the parade on the street. Decisions, decisions!

We're going to be in the world 2/2 - 2/9
