We will be at AK Sat dec 8 and have ADR for 10:25 at the new Tusker House for breakfast. We are thinking about trying Yak & Yeti but for lunch, should we chance it? We dont want to have to wait hours to eat, how have the lines been for Yak & Yeti

well, i went there for dinner last saturday (after thanksgiving) for dinner around 6:15, and there was no wait whatsoever. lots of empty tables. it was actually nice to get out of the park for a sit down real quick. i was surprised that i didn't have to wait on a busy weekend at dinner time.

Wait--isn't Yak and Yeti in Animal Kingdom park?
And how was the food?
Thanks.

yes yes, it's in the park. i meant like, get away from the actual park for a bit (inside the restaurant) :rotfl2:

as for the food, it was okay. i started with a salad which had a really good dressing. then i got the crusted mahi mahi. i thought it would be less of a breaded fish stick type of thing, but i just took all the breading off. anyway, the fish was good, and so were the veggies and jasmine rice that came along with it. i also had a yak attack (alcoholic beverage) which was really good.

overall, i wouldn't be knocking down the doors to get an ADR, but if i could get in as a walk up, i'd do it again.

definitely do DDE. i did get a 10% discount on the food portion (not valid on alcoholic beverages) of my bill with my AP. but it was pretty minimal. i guess better than nothing.

pretty sure i saw a family using the DDP, but i can't be sure of that.

I heard they were not accepting the DDE discount yet. Yes to the DDP and according to the AP website, they are offering a 10% discount for AP holders. No CM discount accepted either. That would explain why the availability. Our CM friends said, they'll wait until they can get their discount before trying. One works at the AK and ate at the QS location and said the food was good, but thought the cost was high for QS location.
