:goodvibesMy DD is in love with egg rolls (not spring rolls). :goodvibes

How are the egg rolls at Yak & Yeti ?
Are they over greasy ?
Lightly fried ?
Filled with lots of veggies and pork ?

:confused3Also - I noticed 2 prices for eggrolls...:confused3
As an appetizer they cost:
Pork Egg Rolls - chili plum dipping sauce $7.99 (I assume you get 2 egg rolls)
But as a side dish they cost:
Pork Egg Rolls $5.99 (do you get 2 egg rolls as a side dish ?)

Please advise.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I can't speak for the appetizer with plum sauce, I had the side which did come with 2 eggrolls.

I thought they were pretty greasy. The hot mustard helped. My husband had a bite of his and left the rest so I'm guessing he didn't care for it.

I called WDW dining - they could not even find egg rolls on their system menu's.

They suggested the switch board at WDW... 407-824-2222.

The switch board connected me directly to Yak & Yeti.
Yak & Yeti answered the phone at 10:30 EST, I guess not a busy time at the TS, so they were able to pick up the phone.

Here are the partial answers....
YES - they do have egg rolls on the menu - pork with veggies
2 prices - and amounts

Appetizers -> Pork Egg Rolls - chili plum dipping sauce $7.99
You get 3 (three) egg rolls as an appetizer

Side Dish _> Pork Egg Rolls $5.99
You get 2 (two) egg rolls as a side dish

:confused3 So - that still leaves the question.,,,
How are they ? Crispy ? Greasy ? Lightly fried ?
:confused3

They are very yummy!!!! I had them as an appetizer last month and they were soooo good. The chili plum dipping sauce was very good but they are good on their own.

I had eggrolls at the Yak & Yeti counter service last month. If your on the DDP, you might want to use a snack credit for these vs paying OOP at the restaurant.

We do the Yak and Yetti as a must do on every trip. I think we've been there 4 times now. Their egg rolls are some of the best I've had anywhere.

I had this 2 weeks ago. This was the appetizer order and I thought they were some of the best egg rolls I've ever had! They were not overly greasy and had just the right balance of pork and veggies in them. I lean more towards veggie filled egg rolls, but this was probably a 50/50 mix and I REALLY liked it. The outside was crispy and the veggies weren't soggy on the inside. They come with the chili plum dipping sauce, but I liked the Thai Chili sauce that comes with the fried green beans as a dip better.

we just ate there last week..we had never eaten there before so it was a last minute walk up.I liked our food,I got the honey chicken and jasmine rice My dh got the shrimp and steak with jasmine rice.We ordered a side of eggrolls and we sent them back..they were soooo greasy! yuck. They were so greasy they left grease outlines on the plate. We got the cream cheese wontons for desert, very yummy! other then then egg rolls the only other thing we did not like was the service, our waitress was rude and the nicer we were to her the more nasty she got.I didnt care we were having a good time, she got her tip and we left full.

:thumbsup2Thank you for all the replies and the wonderful picture ! :thumbsup2

We do love egg rolls. No DDP, but they may take our Chase Reward Disney Dollars (since they are on DDP).
We have a TS lunch at 11:30 AM during Easter week. Else we will pay with cash.

DH likes a sit down place every day in the the Parks.
We get some A/C, DH gets some sort of a salad, our kids get to drink milk, I get my iced tea (unsweetened) - or if Yak & Yeti has no iced tea, I'll get hot tea.

If they egg rolls are a bit greasy on the outside - we will take an extra napkin and lightly squeeze off the extra oil.

We have a pizza place where our DD always wants to eat. The pizza tastes good. but is a bit greasy on top - so we just blot the pizza lightly with a paper napkin and it tastes great. :goodvibes

They also have the egg rolls at the Yak & Yeti CS...just had these on Saturday. They were SUPER greasy, so much we wrapped themin napkins to soak some up, and the napkins were saturated. They tasted fine but not as good as the ones we get around here from Chinese take-out. I'm uploading my pixs to photobucket right now, will post once they're done.

There's also a little cart in Asia that sells just egg rolls, I thought those were better than the Y&Y CS ones.
