Anybody that has eaten at the CS Yak & Yeti -- how is it? Thumbs up or thumbs down? :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 We usually eat lunch at the Flame Tree when we're at AK, but I'd kind of like to try the CS Y&Y. Opinions? Thanks!

Have not tried the counter service, but my DP and I had an appetizer and a drink at the bar. It was quite nice.

It's just so-so avg take out Chinese (I felt the same about the table service there also). Menu is limited, portions were pretty big. We will go back to Flame Tree.

We had the Kung Pao beef and it was really nothing special- I wouldn't go back there. Ds liked it enough to go back twice tho.

Last time I was there, a grackle flew down and stole a big chunk of chicken from my meal while I was getting everything settled. Somehow the thought of eating food after a bird had landed on it didn't thrill me. I know this can happen anywhere, but this is where it happened to me so I'm not going to any outdoor places toi eat CS if I have a choice.

We had a cs lunch there on Christmas Eve....everything was good! :thumbsup2

We gave it a tried and thought it was pretty good.:thumbsup2

However, we are unlikely to go back because we only eat at AK once per trip and we really like Flame Tree Barbecue. Worth trying though.

UMMM, it's outdoors:lmao: . That's all I have to say about it.

Seriously, we were at AK 2 years ago and ate indoors at Tusker House (before it was a TS) and had a very good meal. Fast forward to this year -- we're at AK dying from the heat and I drag my family to Yak & Yeti thinking the seating is indoors -- NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! So the wonderful CM tells us we can eat indoors at Pizzafari. We go there not expecting anything too good, and had one of the best CS meals of our trip. DH and I both had the Warm Italian Sandwich and it was AMAZING!!!! So it's our new favorite place to eat at AK because it's air-conditioned and the food is good too! :thumbsup2

Although it is outdoors, Flame Tree Barbecue has a great eating area by the water in the shade which we find is quite pleasant on those hot summer days.

In fact, this year we tried out Yak & Yeti's CS but carried our food across the bridge to the Flame Tree seating area.

We tried this place out and really enjoyed it. The honey chicken tastes like slightly sweet chicken nuggets but it was really good. The only problem is the seating. There are umbrellas on top of one or two tables. NOT fun eating while the weather was pouring rain! We'd still go back though. Maybe next time, we'd take it to Flame Tree to sit and eat.

It was ok. Like the PPs said, it was just run of the mill Chinese for the most part. Portions are very generous and it wasn't bad, but it's not on my "must eat" list.
