Yak and Yeti

I was very pleased with the food and service at Y&Y when we were there in May. Our 5-year-old daughter was sound asleep in her stroller for the first nap on the trip and the hostess and server went out of their way to make sure to seat us so that she was parked in a secure, quiet(ish) spot. The server kept checking on us to see if she was awake and ready to eat. We were on the dining plan and they let us know what they could pull together to fit that AND be safe to carry out with us if she didn't wake up.

Y&Y is owned/co-owned/whatever by Landry's so I wonder if that accounts for the receipt oddness. We saw it too.

We tried Yak n Yeti last July and loved it. It was quite a surprise. I was able to make ADRs at the last minute, and it wasn't very crowded. The atmosphere was great... we were seated on the second floor. They gave us these cute cardboard straws (plastic would be unsafe for the animals). I ordered Terriyaki Steak, and I believe my sister ordered Terriyaki Chicken. Both of us were completely happy with our food. We love Asian food and soy sauce, though. The only problem we encountered was our waitress filling my Diet Coke with regular Coke. She did it at least three times. We finally decided that the drink dispenser must've been filled incorrectly. Other than that, our experience was wonderful. We'll definitely return (we've been waiting for a table service in AK for a long time).

We usually just have a couple drinks and share a couple appetizers. The fried green beans are to die for. We really like the lettuce cups as well.

Just ate there, Dec 23, everything about it was real nice. service was perfect and food tastey, I had the pot stickers, steamed, the Temera Shrimp and the cheese wontons and pinapple, that were a great desert to finish of this perfect meal

Thanks everyone too for the reviews. We will be trying this restaruant on our trip in April and was wondering about it.

We've eaten at Y&Y three times in the past year, and loved it every time. It's become one of the "Must Do" things when we visit the Animal Kingdom.

I just returned from Iraq...and we have been waiting (after several trips) to get ADRs. It exceeded all expectations for food and drinks!

Highly recommed...

I just made our ADR for March 30th today! I can't wait this will be our third visit. I am craving duck and wok fried green beans!

We were all prepared to eat there once when it first opened just to check it out and liked it so much that's it's on every trip's dining plan now.

As the former posters mentioned...lettuce wraps, fried green beans and anything else.......yummmm. We're even taking our "rented" nine year old in March. He's an adventureous eater and we know he'll love it.
