How come there's been no talk about this restaurant??

I read the DIS review and it sounds pretty good. Looks like basic chinese food. We have a noon ADR here during EMH. I'm hoping it's decent food. :thumbsup2

There have been many reviews of Yak & Yeti since it opened, but they have been on the not so good side. Some people rave, some people say it's the worst..........I would say try it for yourself and hope for the best. We will be eating there for the first time (despite the reviews) in November, and we are going in with no preconceived notion of quality and hope for the best.

:thumbsup2

We ate at Yak and Yeti's when it first opened and we enjoyed it. I agree with the PP I think it is one of those plaves you have to try for yourself. Go and enjoy.

The general opinion from the reviews is that the food is average but expensive. It has not been a favorite with the folks here on the boards.

But like with everything else, there are some that love it. If you are interested, give it a shot. Let us know how it was when you get back!

I got the kids rice and egg roll meal my last trip.... it was ok, rice tasted like it was from a tv dinner, egg roll was pretty good though.

Your words "basic" and "decent" pretty well describe Yak and Yeti. Lunch ought to be ok--wouldn't make a special trip there for dinner though.

We just ate there Monday March 24 for lunch. Service was slow - they said there was a problem with the computer processing the orders to the kitchen. We waited 20 minutes then was told this then waited another 20 minutes. THen they brought my meal and not my son's. We waited a few more minutes till his arrived. Food was ok to good. Moderate size portions. Bill was high. Meals for lunch were from $16-$28. Soft drinks were $2.99 each (drink water!). I will pass in the future.

Do they accept the DDE (Disney Dining Experience) discount card?

I'm trying it in a few weeks....i'll post a review when I get back.

From what I've read the appetizers and desserts seem to get the best reviews.

I'll be eating there in September, since I have the DDP and I have the credits to use, and I do like Asian food.

We ate there in Dec. during the parade and had a perfect seat for viewing.

We liked it but it does have a different flare. It was also a little expensive but we were expecting that as well.

What about the Yak and Yeti CS? Would love to hear some reviews of that. Tusker House was such a great CS last year, we'll miss it. We have lunch at Tusker House this year on my birthday (hope it's a good TS, we love Boma :goodvibes ), and were looking for a decent CS at AK for dinner (EMH that night).
