I haven't heard too much about this and there is only 2 pics in food porn. What are your opinions about this, any pics? My plan that day is for Donald's Breakfast at Tusker house, Yak and Yeti counter service lunch and then Jiko that night for dinner so I don't want something to heavy but would like to try something new when we go. Donald's Breakfast at Tusker house (GOOD BUFFET & FUN TIME W/ MICKEY, GOOFY & DONALD)
Yak and Yeti (JUST MEDIOCRE CHINESE FOOD)
Jiko (FABULOUS IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD)

Have a great time!

We ate counter-service at Yak & Yeti for lunch on Christmas Eve. We liked it so much that we've now got an ADR there for dinner on July 31st. Can't wait!

I agree with the OP that said "mediocre Chinese." I ate there in May & was disappointed. I had the shrimp lo mein & I thought it was very bland. It is a lot of food however, and could easily be shared between 2 people, for a decent price.

call me Disney stupid but where is this resturant?

No real info since I haven't gotten to eat there yet but I do read all the dining reviews.

Most say the food at the Y&Y CS is fairly good and plentiful but the long line is bad and there isn't much of an area to eat the food (maybe no area!).

I'm going to try it next Feb ... I never met Chinese food that I didn't like. (ok not much of any food that I didn't like except maybe liver).

I would like to eat at TS there but we always eat at Kona on AK day so I don't want a big lunch too!

my husband and I like the egg rolls at the cs (if memory serves, you get two as a snack credit on DP), not like at home in New york but good in their own right. We're trying the TS in Aug.

I thought the egg rolls were decent enough (or maybe I just like the hot mustard) but the rest of what everyone had was mediocre.

The lines were slow but there was plenty of seating around towards the back.

Thanks for all the replies...:) From the sound of it we should skip it...but what to do for lunch that is in the Asia/Dinoland area that is not too heavy to ruin our dinner at Jiko. We will be doing the dining plan and while the 2009 has not been announced yet I want to be able to plan ideas for the days. What do we think.:goodvibes

Decent mall-type Chinese food, nothing special.

There was a good deal of seating, but 1) it was all outdoors and 2) there were not many small tables, which means small parties will likely end up sharing a table with another party.

We have an ADR for the TS restaurant but might just cancel and do CS instead. I don't think there would be much of a difference? :scratchin I think I'll compare both now.

I'm eating at the TS on my next trip, but not sure if I'll get an entree. People have been recommending getting appetizers, an adult beverage, and dessert. Looking at pictures, that sounds like a good idea. I think we're going to get the lettuce wraps and dim sum sampler, and I have to try the fried wonton desserts. Maybe we'll also share a fried rice or noodle dish. I had fried rice at the CS, and it was a cheap snack at 3.99. It was edible, and improved when I added some soy sauce. The CS lines were really slow, but they were fairly new and the CM was really slow. There was a lot of seating on the side.
