I've never been and got us reservations on our day of arrival for dinner. What is amazing and not so amazing? Thx!!!:goodvibes

It is very good. They are the only place on property that ages their meat (and there is a room where you can see the butcher freshly cutting it. I dont eat meat, so it kinda grossed me out, but dh is a pure carnivore so he loved it. Oh and there are good non-beef options too!

We are in the minority.but we do not like Yachtsman's. We have tried it 3 times and we will not be back. We found the service great, the setting beautiful, but we didn't like the food.

YSH is significantly better than LeCellier. I love the filet there and its always done exactly as requested. Also love the lobster bisque.

But the thing that normally puts me over the edge is the pull apart onion rolls with the salted butter and roasted garlic to slather on them. :3dglasses

We love the yachtsman and it is always our first meal on our trips. One DS and DH get the strip steak.DH loved their cowboy steak, but it is not presently on their menu. My DS keeps asking me to get the recipe for the peppercorn brandy sauce that comes with it. My other DS and I usually always get the filet which we have never had a problem with. We used to go to Le Cellier until we came here.
We also love the popovers they now serve too.

We ate there last year and it was my husband's favorite meal of the trip! Said his steak was one of the best he's ever had.

Love Yachtsman! DH gets the porterhouse because he is just that gluttonous. ;) The filet is perfect for me. Love the atmosphere and the service has always been great during our last three trips - hoping to continue the streak this time around, too!

It's not good . . . it's GREAT!!!!!

Delicious steaks and the lobster bisque is so rich and heaven in a bowl! I'm drooling just thinking about it. ;)

Enjoy! :thumbsup2

We really liked Yachtsman. I had the filet mignon and my sister had the scallops and pork belly--we ate until we couldn't eat any more. (And then we shoved in one of the best desserts we had all week--an excellent chocolate/pretzel cake thing. YUM!)

It was our 2nd favorite signature of our DxDP experience. I definately recommend it! :thumbsup2

What was your favorite?????

California Grill, hands down. There were no misses in any of the three courses, and several of the dishes were our favorites of the week!

It's hard to top macaroni and cheese with truffle oil, and nearly impossible to top a cookie plate with peanut butter whoopie pies and real hot chocolate. My sister STILL talks about that cookie plate...

Oh, and did I mention the view? ;)

It really is good. I agree with others who say that the food is better than Le Cellier. I love both, but this is less "touristy" and more upscale. It has a very different feel to it inside too.

How was the pork belly? I'm going in November and have my eye on that one. I have reservations for California Grill too :goodvibes

We do love the Yachtsman, and I do order the porterhouse. Not because I'm gluttonous as my lovely wife jokingly pointed out, but because we're on the DxDP and why the heck not? We sure paid for it :lmao: (and it is oh so tasty).

I can honestly say in the four times I've eaten there, I've never had anything that wasn't marvelous.

And, for the record, the California Grill is our absolute favorite as well!

Glad to hear so many positive reviews for YSH since we will be there this summer! :thumbsup2

I agree with one of the PPs. We prefer it much more than Le Cellier (which we think doesn't deserve all the hype it gets)
