Yahooo Yippeee Wooooo Hoooooo!!!!!

DING DING DING we have a winner!!!! the Dark Marauder Got it right!!!

Very happy camper here. :bounce: :bounce:

A CM said it was 90% completed. Looked good. Our timimg was perfect, we waited maybe 20 minutes, and as soon as we walked into the line, a swarm of people filled the line to out the door.

First 1/2 of line was ok..... second half FAB. Line moved ahead at a slow but steady pace. Turns out only one side (the left) was open. I think with both sides up, the line, however long, will move nicely.

Nice and cool in line too.

I have more to report, but it must wait until I get home

WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

That's what I thought she was going to say too, Barry!
Then we ALL would have been on our way to ride Mummy!
I am sure she wouldn't mind paying in that case!

I cannot wait. I want to ride it so bad. So are you going to give a review of the ride?

I thought the ride was good. I had steered clear of all the reviews so I would see it fresh... but I did find out about the 'secret' (I hate to elaborate, in case someone else doesnt want to know it) and I thought they needed to make that one part a bit more obvious (spelling not my strong suit... make it more clear) I knew it was not real, but it happened so fast no one else realized it was suppose to be a fake thing.... so it was lost on them... maybe having a CM standing there.... longer pause, a jerk of the restraints, brighter lights.... etc.

Fire on ceiling...... really cool. Prolly my fave effect...

I cant wait to ride it again.... when it is all finished.

Loved the second 1/2 of the queue, but again the it didnt seem like everything worked.... the 'two hands needed' thing was inconsistant..... some of the other things worked on and off.... the blue light thing... no rhyme or reason for it to light up...

Spiderman is still better in my book.... as is MIB.... but Mummy is a freshing take on the whole coaster thing.

TWO THUMBS UP!

The "two hands needed" thing is the canopic chest where Imhotep's vital organs are stored. Placing one hand on the chest activates the rumbling/evil inside. Having two hands on it summons the power of the Med-Jai to calm the evil/protect the visitors. Not everyone reads the instructions, though.

As for the "blue light thing", that's a scarab, and the mirror shows those that have gone ahead of you. Placing your hand on the scarab when it is blue will send a blast of ancient air to whomever is on the bridge, which sometimes results in a scare. A translation there might help.

Also, a lot of people only look at the key to the book of Amun-Re in Imhotep's burial chamber. Some do try and grab it, which triggers the effect.

The canopic chest was inconsistant... we all figured out the one hand two hand thing, but it didnt always do what is was suppose to do when only one hand, or when two hands touched it. No rhyme or reason, things would light up, but no imediate coralation to touching it... or not touching it.

The scarab... didnt make the connection that blue light led to the airblast... Cool... I must say the line was moving at a fairly good pace... so we didnt have a lot of time to play with the 'toys'.

We tried to grab the key ::yes::

Thanks DM for the correct discriptions of the attraction... I am just a slub... out to have a good time. Mummy came thru... cant wait to ride it again!

People don't leave their hand on it long enough. They'll touch it, which will trigger the effect (which is on a timer), but they won't keep their hand on it long enough, especially when someone else places their hand on it on the opposite side. That's probably why its' so inconsistent.

What is the not so obvious secret?

Knowing me I'll probably miss it;)
