Guess what I did yesterday????

The "two hands needed" thing is the canopic chest where Imhotep's vital organs are stored. Placing one hand on the chest activates the rumbling/evil inside. Having two hands on it summons the power of the Med-Jai to calm the evil/protect the visitors. Not everyone reads the instructions, though.Originally posted by Laurabearz
Loved the second 1/2 of the queue, but again the it didnt seem like everything worked.... the 'two hands needed' thing was inconsistant..... some of the other things worked on and off.... the blue light thing... no rhyme or reason for it to light up...

As for the "blue light thing", that's a scarab, and the mirror shows those that have gone ahead of you. Placing your hand on the scarab when it is blue will send a blast of ancient air to whomever is on the bridge, which sometimes results in a scare. A translation there might help.
Also, a lot of people only look at the key to the book of Amun-Re in Imhotep's burial chamber. Some do try and grab it, which triggers the effect.

People don't leave their hand on it long enough. They'll touch it, which will trigger the effect (which is on a timer), but they won't keep their hand on it long enough, especially when someone else places their hand on it on the opposite side. That's probably why its' so inconsistent.Originally posted by Laurabearz
The canopic chest was inconsistant... we all figured out the one hand two hand thing, but it didnt always do what is was suppose to do when only one hand, or when two hands touched it. No rhyme or reason, things would light up, but no imediate coralation to touching it... or not touching it.
