Well, we've been patiently waiting for the chance to book our flights using Aeroplan miles for our Disney cruise and today was the day.

We got 4 seats Charlottetown-Halifax-Toronto-Orlando, and for the return flight Orlando-Montreal-Charlottetown. That's the absolute best itinerary for flying out of Charlottetown using points. It makes for a long day, but worth it when we finally get there! Of course the flights are through Air Canada...I'm sure the itinerary will change before we take off next year, but that's the best we can do.

So, we got the best flights available, the travel days we want and had enough points for the flights!

Now the hard part...waiting. Ha Ha

Congrats I know how hard it can be to get the flights you want when you are yousing aeroplan miles last winter i won aeroplan miles at work and ended up going to DL as i could not get to WDW :thumbsup2

Word of Caution...............

Make sure your seats have been assigned!

There seems to be seats already assigned. When we received our confirmation it included seat assignments.

Did you have a bad experience with this? (just curious)

Your Aeroplan seats should be fine:)

Like Janet said, just keep checking with every itin change that the seat assignments have followed through, and that they're together (if that's important to you) Sometimes a sched change can result in an equipment change, and that means that a seat/row assignment can also flip around.

It will say right on your itinerary what seats you're all placed in. If there's nothing there, call ASAP:)

HTH!

Yes, what mbb said!

My experience was with Airmiles, the other people who travelled the same time during March Break were with Aeroplan!

But we were both in the same situation. One had a seat the other was standby! :confused3

That's the day we took the Long Way to Florida! Toronto to Newark, Newark to Orlando! Now that was a fun day! NOT! The funniest part was me explaining to the Stewardess on how to get to Buffalo to get a cheap flight thru Southwest! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

What really annoyed me was that airlines overbook by 10% hoping that some will not show up!
