Is the food good here? We are using the MYW dining and couldn't get into Le cellier. My husband wanted a good steak for his birthday dinner so the cm suggested this. Also I'm wondering how kids do here. I was going to get a babysitter but we just decided to stay an extra night at WDW so I cut out the $120 babysitting charge in an attempt to balance the budget. :wave2: thanks for the help in advance!

We just made PS for YSH today and I cant wait another 90 days to eat there. ;)

Yes, it is very good, a bit pricey, but well worth it. We ate there for the first time last year on our anniversary and loved it. They even gave us a free dessert. We are going back for our anniversary this year it was so good.

As for kids, I think they will do fine. It is Disney after all, and we saw plenty of kids there. I didnt take mine, but thats because we had Grandma there to watch them for the night. :goodvibes

Enjoy!

DH has always enjoyed his steak there. I don't have exact prices but I think it is more expensive than LeCellier but less than Shula's!. I have seen children there so I think they would do fine.

They have a Bourbon Strip Steak to die for($32.00) but worth every penny of it. I have always gone in a polo shirt and a pair of shorts and sneakers.

Enjoy

MMMMMMMM Thanks, I'll have to remember to suggest that to DH. I'm glad sneakers are ok since we'll be in Epcot that afternoon and will not be returning to our hotel.

Thanks for the info! How do you all interpret the "smart casual" dress suggestion?

When we went I made sure to check out peoples attire because of all the buzz about "dress codes" on these boards. We saw everything from park attire (denim shorts & tshirts) to suits and dresses. I really think anything goes there. I wore white capris with a top and sandals, while DH wore khaki shorts and a button down/collared "Hawaiin" type shirt and boat shoes. We were probably middle of the road.

I think anything short of bathing suits and tank tops would be fine.

You will love Yachtsman's Steakhouse. It is one of our favorite restaurants at WDW. As others have said you will see everything from shorts and tees to shirt and tie. It is a very kid friendly place complete with crayons and coloring pages for the kids. IMO Yachtsman's has a much better steak then Le Cellier. We like Le Cellier very much, but like Yachtsmans better; and we like the seared NY strip steak at Flying Fish even more so, than any steak at Yachtsmans. They are all great restaurants and you can't go wrong with any of them; but that is the order we would rate them.
