Has anyone been to the Yachtsman’s recently? How was the food and service? I am planning a nice get-a-way dinner for the wife and me for our second wedding anniversary in March.

Was always great and then last February 2010 was worst steaks we ever had and service was worse. Took us longer to get the check than to attempt to eat this mess. We told server and then he just disappeared. we prefer Le Cellier and Kona Grille and both 1 TS they say the Artist Point has Buffalo steak that is wonderful it is a signature.

Its been a few months since I was there. However, its usually a can't miss meal and I've never been let down. Not that it matters but being from Chicago we certainly have our share of great steakhouses. IMO Yachtsman's holds it ground.

we were there Oct 15 and was still just as good as the other times we have eaten there. Not disappointed at all.

We ate there 3 weeks ago. Steaks were decent but to be honest I preferred Le Cellier. Service was slow but I liked our server a lot. We were on the dining plan and I didn't think it was worth double of Le Celler

I ate there last December. I will never go again. My steak was cooked wrong, I waited 45 min past my adr time to be seated, and my server did not pay attention to me at all.

My meal was comped by Disney.

My family of five always love it when we go. Our steaks are prepared perfect and the service is excellant. If you want the best service ask for Oscar. I believe he has tues. and wed. off, but if you can get him your dinner will be great.

Yachtsman's is NEVER better than Shula's ... And it's what, a couple of hundred yards further to Shula's? Go to the REAL steakhouse for great steak, a romantic atmosphere, great service and don't mess with the pretenders.

Oh, I forgot to point out that Shula's is no more expensive than Yachtsman.

We went there in September and were thrilled. We hit this place probably 3 times a year and its always a great meal.

We were there Oct 8. It was outstanding.

It was one of the highlight meals of our trip back in May. The service was excellent and I loved the atmosphere.

We ate there about three weeks ago for the first time and were very pleased. I had the filet and it was very tender and great flavor. Loved the onion bread that they start you off with. Had the chocolate trio for dessert and that was very good. They also acknowledged our anniversary with special menus and chocolates, which was a nice touch.

We have eaten here several times because it's convenient but I would not pick it for a special meal. The filets are decent but you can get a decent filet at most WDW restaurants. The other cuts I've had here have been very underwhelming.

Were there in Sept - really wanted to like it - didn't hate it but there are better. We were staying at YC so ate there as my special "birthday eve" dinner. We had eaten at Artist Point earlier in the week (had done a split stay at WL), and Artist Point way better - def. more romantic. Had to wait in bar because table not ready at time of ADR, tables were close together, had to step over child sitting on floor in aisle between tables - it seemed loud and chaotic for an "upscale" restaurant. My appetizer (scallops with corn cakes) was cold - I rarely send things back, but I did this. Server brought back a piping hot one with chef's apology (and it was yummy). Steak was good. Service was slow. We sat for waiting for check - BF said he'd wait so I could go back to room to see fireworks from balcony. (I had timed ressie to allow for this.) As I got up to leave, server seemed crushed and said she was about to bring me a birthday (cup)cake. I ate a few bites and ran back to room. If DP not a factor, I also would consider Bistro de Paris - beef tenderloin was delish and better for an anniversary.

We were just there the first week of October.

Service was wonderful - our server, Sam, was the best we had all vacation.

The bread service was delicious - the onion pull-a-part rolls were to die for, and the roasted garlic served with the bread was lovely. For entrees, I had the Fish of the day with Langostino mashed potatoes , they were wonderful. My daughters each had the filet and said it was the best they had ever had. I tried bites and they were right, the filets were truly heavenly. My DH had the porterhouse, which was the one bleak moment in an otherwise stellar meal. It was too fatty, and a little tough. However, he had never had a porterhouse before, and is not sure if he got a bad cut, or if that is just how a porterhouse usually is. I don't remember what anyone else had for dessert, but I had creme brulee, and it was very nice.

I would recommend it; it was a wonderful meal, in a beautiful setting.
