We are finally going to eat at Yachtsman. Just DW and I. Tell us what you loved about it! :lovestruc

I'm going to give you a friendly bump because we are thinking of eating here in March and would also like to know.

I loved the cheese plate. Its been 4 years since we ate here so I am sure the menu has changed. We had great service and a wonderful meal.

Hopefully someone who has been recently can answer.

We go to the Yachtsman at least twice per trip and I must say that there is no better Porterhouse. The filets are very good but I found the filet at Le Cellier in Canada at Epoch better. If you go to the Yachtsman ask for Sam as your waiter he is the best.
Enjoy

We were there last October for the 1st time and loved it!!! The service was wonderful. There weren't that many kids, either. Of course we ate around 8pm...perhaps that's the reason. My husband had the porterhouse and he said it was fabulous. My filet was great, too. I had escargot for an appetizer...very good...husband wasn't impressed, but I thought they were yummy. The creme brule for desert was to die for. You will have a very nice evening there.

We've eaten at the Yachtsman many times, and we have always had a wonderful meal and great service! In fact, its become our "last night at Disney" dinner now!!

I usually get the Ceasar Salad, the filet, and of course, creme brulee. The creme brulee is definitely to die for!!! It is definitely my DD's favorite dessert!

Enjoy your dinner!!!!

I love the onion pull apart rolls with roasted garlic and butter but I hear that they do not have those anymore.....

I love the Yachtsman Steakhouse. In my opinion heads and tails above the much talked about but highly overrated Le'Cellier. But then again, Le'Cellier is a 1TS restaurant and Yachtsman is a signature restaurant.

Yachtsman is my "get away from it all for a couple hours" place to go. The atmosphere is quiet, a bit more adult(though my dd12 loves the place), and excellent food.

My most recent visit in December I had the Lobster Bisque for an appetizer and it was delicious. The Porterhouse was beyond words(awesome is close), the Sauteed Mushroom Caps were an excellent compliment, and the Creme Brulee makes you believe you died and went to heaven.

After eating all 24oz's of that Porterhouse I could have been used in that old Alka Seltzer commercial, " I can't believe I ate the whole thing".:lmao:

Noooooooooo!!!!!:faint::faint::faint::faint: Say it isn't so!:sad1:

We have had 3 very enjoyable meals at the Yachstmans. I am a veggie so I won't bore you with my food but DH2B is the carnivore and although he enjoys the steak here, he prefers it elsewhere. However he thinks the lamb at the Yachtsmans is to die for.:cloud9:

I love the Yachtsman. Here's a tip. If you are waiting for a table, and wait at the bar, DO NOT place your pager on the copper bar. There's something with the copper that deactivates the pager. We had been paged several times and someone had to come get us because we didn’t come to the hostess stand. Also, has anyone else noticed that the décor is a more of a Wild West theme? It kind of threw me off the first time we ate there. I was expecting more of a nautical theme. What’s up with that?

On our last visit to Yachtmans I did have to ask for the roasted garlic (my favorite) and it was brought to our table. So it seems it is still available.

I will be asking again when we dine there 3-19-10 (hope it is still available).

Well thanks to all of you wonderful DISers, I decided to make an ADR for our arrival night. After reading all of your reviews, I am very glad that we are going to eat here. I also mentioned on our Reservation that my DH and I are celebrating our 11 yr. anniversary that night :cool1:.

Wow you guys have me convinced. Just booked for a May 19th, cannot wait!
