I have reserved the YSH for our sig dinner in August. My 4 YO DGD will accompany us, but she is used to eating out, and enjoys sit down meals. I have read a lot of mixed reviews for this restaurant, and would love some feedback. It is 2 TS each, so I would hope that it is a good meal. ANy comments?

TIA

No worries..... I am sure you will have a great time, the steak is some of the best tasting on property.... quality cuts of Midwestern grain fed beef, aged on Disney property, then cooked on a true oak grielle.... hmmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about the fillet!

Thank you so much. I don't know why I worry, I love a good steak, and it's even better while at Disney. :goodvibes

OK....well here is an opposing view for you. My husband and I tried this our last trip in March and were very disappointed. Food was not great and service was mediocre, I would not go back and I always eat at signature restaurants....I would go to Shula's for good steak before I would go here.

While I often do hear mixed reviews on this restaurant, I'm on the good side. :thumbsup2

We have dined there 3x times now and each time everything has been amazing. From the bread with garlic, right through dessert, we have loved everything. Their horseradish mashed potatoes are so good, I have tried to duplicate them at home (theyre not quite as good.;) )

DH and I are getting 1 night out on our upcoming trip and have decided to go to California Grill this time. It is killing me not going back to YSH.

Been to Yachtsman several times and always had a good experience - good food and service. One of my favorite places at WDW.

Yachtsman is O.K., but Concourse at the Contemporary is a much better value (at Yachtsman you pay a premium for location and ambiance; beef at Concourse is easily as good or better).

I found Yachtsman to be a B+. Not bad, not WOW, but above average. I found their sides to be really good especially those potatoes, the atmosphere to be a bit crowded, the waiter adequate but not stellar, the steak not as amazing as I expected it to be but still above average and the desserts amazing.

I have not been back for a repeat since I have other places I think are better however would not turn it down if offered to me. I think it is worth a try.

We ate at YSH 2 trips ago, and was not impressed. We were expecting the steaks to be much better than they were, after reading so much about the YSH. The service was not there either,,, so we skipped it the last trip, we wanted to give it another try, thinking maybe it was just us that night, so we booked a dinner for our June trip. We'll give it another shot and see how it goes.
