Please forgive me if this has been asked before...

We're trying to figure out which restaurant to book for one of the nights we'll be at WDW in September for DS's birthday. We know we really like Le Cellier but don't know a lot about the YS. I have looked at the menus, etc, but could really use any opinions from anyone who's been to both.

Thanks!

Been to Both..Love both
But definite first choice is YS! I am starting to think it is absolutely impossible to have a bad meal there. Whether it is soup, seafood or steak!!
Make sure to take your White chocolate macadamia cheesecake to go because you will not have room for it there!!

Sorry I think I just drooled remembering my last dinner!!

Either one is good. I would give them both 3 *** out of 5.

DH and I ate at both of these this past week and would definitely pick Le Cellier, hands down. YS was good, but LC was great!!! We will go back to LC, but probably not YS.

We've eaten at both and would pick LeCellier hands down. The food is great at both but we did not enjoy the atmosphere at YS. The wait staff was "snooty" and we never did feel comfortable there. Our table was on of the one that are half booth and half chairs. The booth part was connected to another booth and we had to either whisper or invite the people sitting next to us into the conversation. The YS was WAY more expensive then Les Cellier too. We paid only $15.00 more for four adults to eat in LC then for the two of us to eat at YS

We have eaten at both. After Le Cellier, I was happy with our meal and said I would go back, but not make it a point. Nothing really stood out as excellent to me, but nothing was bad(well, the kids pasta wasnt too good, but...).

Then a few months later we went to Yachtsman Steakhouse and here we were definitely WOWed!!! Everything we got was amazing! After dining there, I wouldnt be able to go back to Le Cellier again because I would definitely pick YSH first.

They are both nice restaurants, but I'd choose Yachtsman Steakhouse if I could only do one.

Le Cellier hands down, loved the food, service was terrific, good atmosphere.
YCSH-can eat in a stuffy place with decent food and okay service at home anyday

I think they are on different levels, personally. LeCellier is more casual, in a theme park, more children, louder, etc. Yachtsman is a cut above, terrific professional service, more adult and upscale environment (without being formal - in interior decor is nautical), and the food is comparable to a fine steakhouse at home. They cater to a diff audience, as well - almost all the people dining when we were were convention attenders, most of them solo or with other coworkers. NOT that it's not a nice family place and you couldn't bring your child there, it's just a cut above.

Depends on what you want. If you want a nice meal out, in a relaxing quiet and upscale environment with superior cuts of meat, then Yachstman is your place =)

Someone awhile back said that comparing LeCellier to Yachtsman is like comparing Ponderosa to Morton's of Chicago =) There was a thread not too long ago comparing the two of them as well.
