There has been so much discussion on this restaurant lately that I couldn't wait to go there to see if it was still as good as I remembered. It was fantastic!

We ate there Sun, 8/18 w/kids and Thurs, 8/22 w/o them. Both times, I had the rack of lamb and my DH had the bourbon steak. The kids had the medallions of filet w/crushed blue cheese and another had the surf and turf. The meat was cooked perfectly. For appys we ordered the lump crab meat, shrimp cocktail, and the oysters rockefellar (all awesome). As sides we had the creamed spinach (very good) and the sauteed mushrooms. The creme brulee for dessert was terrific. We must seem like pigs but we had skipped lunch and went for an early dinner. If you decide to go, Thomas was our waiter - a really great guy.

This place is still #1 w/us!!

Thank goodness, a good review!! My grandmother wants to eat there for her 85 birthday and I was little worried. Did you see anyone celebrating a b-day? Did they make a big deal about it?

As a matter of fact, someone was celebrating a birthday one of the nights we were there. We heard singing and saw a candle in a dessert. They'll do whatever you want (at any restaurant in WDW) as long as you tell them. Also, get your g-mother an "It's my birthday today" pin to wear and she'll be treated extra special everywhere.

My DH and I went there last year for his birthday dinner. It was one of the best dinners we've ever had! Can't wait to try it again this year! YUM!!!!!!!
:p

Glad you liked it!!
I had that Bourbon Steak when we went in May-- top notch!!

Hi neighbor - we're from Milford!

YS is our favorite restaurant at WDW - we look forward to it every year and have never had a bad meal. Glad to hear you had a good experience. Is Thomas the waiter that makes animals and things out of your napkins while he talks with you?

we were watching the YC and BC special on the travel channel last night...my FH about fell off the couch while drooling over this restaurant! it was pretty funny. i kept teasing him and asking him about switching our PS to here for our wedding night dinner, but he said no...he wants to keep it where we have it...

The filet Medallions sound sooooooo good!!!! Whoo hoo only a couple more days!!!!!:D :D :D :D
Im gonna try Le ceiler and Yachtsman and give a review!!!:D :D

Hi SalandJeff,

Thomas was just a really good waiter - nice guy and good with the kids. No napkin animals while we spoke with him though. I never saw those being made before.

Just had dinner here on Tuesday. The service, from John, was excellent and the beef selections (medallions and filet mignon) were perfectly prepared. The mashed potatoes were great, the gratin potatoes were not (skip those, undercooked). The tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad was very good, as well.

Never did get to one of the absolutely wonderful looking desserts! Maybe next time!

If you love good beef, this is a good restaurant to choose!

We've been there 2X without kids. It was such a good time (and good food) that I'm choosing YS over V & A's for my Bday dinner (12/7). Nothing against V & A's, I just can't get past the beautiful atmosphere, the great food and drink, and a nice stroll over to EPCOT WS. I guess I'm a little strange (not to choose V & A's), but I am a creature of habit! I like to stick with what works for me - like this, our 7th visit to WDW in 4 years!

Oh, and by the way, we had Thomas as our waiter too (the 1st time.) Oscar was our waiter the 2nd time. Both are prime examples of excellent waiters!
