Which one of these would you pick?

We haven't dined at either and really want a decent piece of beef on our vacation (and my vacation from my diet)! I have an ADR at Yachtsman, but then saw the menu for Shula's and thought I'd see if I can get opinions. We have a night at Jellyroll's planned for after dinner, which is why I'm sticking with the Epcot resort area.

Thanks for any thoughts! :goodvibes

I have not eaten at Yachtsman Steakhouse (have heard good things though) but have eaten at the Shula's in Ft Worth, TX. This review may be biased as I was on the Architectural Design Team for the restaurant but the food really was great. When we ate there I ordered the signature cut steak and was able to cut it with my fork, very tender and full of flavor. The meal was expensive but very good. The steak was definately among the best I have had in my life. Palos on the DCL and Le Cellier are close seconds for best steaks I have had. If there are sports fans in your party the decor at Shula's will be of added interest. I am sure either pick will produce a great steak and a great meal.

My family loves both but Shula's does edge out the Yachtsman! If Shula's were on the dining plan, we'd eat there every trip!

We LOVE the Yachtsman! We love it so much there that we went TWICE in a week in February. We will definitely be going back in November.

1) Absolutely, positively, Shula's.
2) Yachtsman barely holds a candle in food, quality, or service to Shula's.

Shula's...

It's *very* expensive, but it's a meal you won't soon forget.

The steaks are absolutely incredible.

We love Yachtsman, but we've heard so many good things about Shula's lately, we're going to have to try it.

Shula's......hands down!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

We've eaten at both! We thought Yachtsman was better. We've added it to our must-do list!

We enjoy both but if I had to pick one it would be Shula's :thumbsup2

ITA. If Shula's offered any discounts at all, ever, we'd go there every trip. The DDE (I haven't gotten used to TIW yet) discount makes Yachtsman an adequate alternative.

Been to both, Shula's was very tasty, but Yachtsman is more our style. DH felt his Yachtsman steak was better. For me, hands down my Shula's steak was better, but that is because my Yachtsman steak was basically inedible - incredibly, wickedly overcooked. But I'm willing to go back - my potatoes were to die for - and DH loved it oh-so-much.

Also, if you're going to Jellyrolls after, I'd suggest Yachtsman. You don't have to look as nice.

Thanks for all the responses!

I think that this time around we're going to do Yachtsman. We really like the a la carte menu at Shula's and a 12 oz. filet would really be heaven on a plate for me, but we are about 95% sure that we'll be back in Disney in the fall to celebrate my parents anniversary with them..and I can tell by looking at the menu, my dad would LOVE Shula's. We could do that dinner as a anniversary gift for them...so that way, we'll be able to try both!

shulas handsdown has a better quality of meat and better wine list (if that matters at all)

We've tried both and they are terrific. We prefer YS, but I think either one is good.:earsboy:

I have been to Shula's a few times at WDW, and also have been to Shula's at NYC. The service, food quality, etc does not change from restaurant to restaurant...It really is high end and absolutely tastes delicious. Its my favorite steak restaurant and I have been to quite a few including Yachtsman Steakhouse and Ruth's Chris. I can definitely assure you that Shula's has much better steak compared to Yachtsman Steakhouse...and if I had to rank specifically those three restaurants since they are in the same bracket I would say (1) Shula's (2) Ruth's Chris (3) Yachtsman Steakhouse. If I have a choice between the two I will always choose Shula's. Also, They had a great 2lb (half of 4lb) lobster and filet mignon surf and turf combo...Hope you enjoy it!
