Although our filet was excellent at Yachtsmans, our entire meal was extrodinary at Flying Fish along with stellar service. It's on our "must go back" list for next trip!

If you are looking for a great selection of steak than go with the Yachtsman. The Flying Fish only offers one type of steak on their menu.

I have been to both restaurants and have had great service at both of them, but the YSH is by far my favorite. They offer a NY strip, filet mignon, porterhouse and prime rib.

If you are looking for seafood dishes then head to the FF, but for steak the YSH is my pick.

Yachtsman every time! The range of steak is outstanding, with excellent cuts and cooked perfectly. The waiters are very knowledgable and passionate about what they are serving. Our server helped us find exactly the cut that suited each of us best, and helped advise us on how it should be cooked.

I've also been to Flying Fish, and it is a lovely restaurant, but not the place I would choose for a great steak.

For crab cakes, Flying Fish. For steak, Yachtsman!

Both are great restaurants and among my favorites at WDW. However, the only steak on the menu at FF is a NY strip. Although that steak is wonderful, unless you are sure you want that, go to Yachtsman where there is a wider variety of steaks available (all of which are quite good).

This should not even be a debate. Yachtman's Steakhouse has Australian Wagyu steak which is by far some of the best steak IN THE WORLD. Look it up.

However it does have 6 different seafood choices on the menu, so I think it is safe to call it a seafood place. Yachtsman on the other hand has 5 different cuts of beef on the menu but only one seafood dish, so I would say it's say to call Yachtsman a steakhouse.

Yachtsman's was sooooo good! If you want steak, then that is where you should go. The desserts were awesome too!

It is difficult to compare these two restaurants since YS specializes in steaks while the other specializes in seafood. Nevertheless, I vote for FF because, IMHO, overall the food quality, presentation and atmosphere are better there.

Just because a restaurant features seafood does not mean it cant have a great steak. This goes even more at WDW, where they are trying to please everyone's palate.

If you dont like NY Strips and you want a steak, then you are ouf of lucj at the FF. And, yes, strips tend to be chewier, but some like that.

Regardless, prime steaks are the best there are. No one serves prime on WDW property to my knowledge. But, Shula's serves a high quality angus, I believe? And they say its better than prime due to their strict grading, etc. I havent tried Shula's, but I will my next trip.

Before last October, I would have said, "go to Flying Fish". After our Oct meal @ FF, I'd choose Yachtsman. Although, it's been a while since we ate at YSH.

Yachtsman Steakhouse still hand cuts their steaks daily and all their food is freshly prepared daily. They accept DDP it is 2 credits. As stated yes Shula's is on property but is not Disney owned and does not accept the DDP.

I've had it at our local high end steak place, and it's some of the best steak you can get. $54.00 is actually a bargain. We usually pay about $75 for a 16oz. Kobe steak with no sides and it's worth every penny.

My DS loves Fish(unlike myself) I am the steak lover I do not know who can make it better my self or my DGF ,but i always love to find out. But in this case I want to treat my DS to a really good fish Dinner for his Bday when we are down there.What would the experts here chose,the Yachatsman or flying fish. they have to have bboth.

I was speaking of American beef, etc.

But, yes, when you get into the Wagyu the prices go up.

I've tried Kobe(which is from the area in Japan) a few times. I liked it and the fact that you can cut it with a fork is neat, but I still prefer Prime steaks.
