Yachtsman or Shula's?

As I shared earlier in the thread, I found this thread interesting because I had made reservations at Yachtsman before the thread started, but staying at the Swan and Dolphin. Just returned. We stayed at the Dolphin, passed Shula's everyday as we took the West elevator (lol). Ate at Yachtsman as planned and really loved it! It was very Disney, looked much more casual then Shula's. CM (waitress) was fantastic. They had a dry aging room - which was pretty cool to see. Started with bread (onion bread was good with the salted butter and roasted garlic, we did not care for the cherry wheat bread). My daughter and I split the 28 oz Porterhouse - which also came with 2 premium sides (we got Mac and cheese and truffle fries). In case you are wondering, I really did not eat more than half of the steak as my daughter loves steak! We also got mashed potatoes on the side because we needed more carbs. My wife got the caeser salad; it looked great and she loved it. For dessert, we had the strawberry shortcake, which was fantastic. My daughter got the creme brûlée; it was a little different as the CM warned us (very thick and had pickled blueberries). Not my daughter's favorite creme brûlée - and CM offered her another dessert, which she declined because she was so full. I did not try Shula's, so can't compare - but thought I would report back on my experience. Would definitely go back. I really want to try Shula's though.

My vote is for the Yachtsmen. Shula was just ok the time we went. Steak at Shula just missed the mark. It was heavy on the salt and lacked flavor. Both had great service and atmosphere.
