Yachtsman or Shula's?

I have one more dinner to fill on my trip. I'm doing a split stay in April. April 11-16 will be off property outside of the parks, I'm going for Star Wars Celebration. Then the 17th-23rd will be onsite and in the parks. I have my plans made already for April 11 and 12 before Celebration starts on the 13th. On April 16, the Convention should be wrapped by around dinner time, so I was thinking about making a 7:30 or 8:00 PM reservation at somewhere good on property at Disney.

Throughout my Disney Trip on the 17th-23rd, I have all the character meals and special restaurants I want to try reserved for my Deluxe Dining Plan, but I never really found a place for a good steak restaurant. I looked at Le Cellier for one of my EPCOT days, but then I realized it was 2 DDP Credits, and I'm already doing Cinderella's Royal Table in MK, so I didn't want 2 meals worth 2 credits each.

Which steakhouse would you recommend for dinner on the 16th after Celebration wraps? I'd of course have to find transportation from the OCC to the restaurant.

Thanks!!!

UPDATE: After Looking at menus, and reading majority of the responses on here, I think I will like Shula's the best. Thank you everyone for all of your opinions!!!

Totally agree with smcabee with the caveat that B&B is significantly more expensive and more formal but worth every penny.

Oooo tough decision! Not sure about steak houses off property, however I've eaten at both Shula's and Yachtsman and find them both to be fantastic! For some reason, to me yachtsman feels more 'Disney-feel' but I'm not sure why! Maybe it's the location, or the fact that Shula's is football-themed and a chain, so it's not a unique experience to Disney. However, Loved BOTH and I don't think you could go wrong either way! The yachtsman mac and cheese is my absolute fave.

I would pick Shula's between those two but I am looking to try STK in Disney Springs on our next visit. Someone linked a post to the Disney Food Blog recently and everything looked amazing.

Go to Bull & Bear. They charge more than Shula's because Shula's isn't serving prime beef, it is choice beef.

Between Shula's and Yachtsman, I'd choose Yachtsman because they do have some prime beef.

But in that area I've had better steaks at Il Mulino and the Flying Fish Cafe than either Shula's or Yachtsman.

Another vote for Shula's, even after they just added A5 Wagyu options at Yachtsman. Last time I was at the Yachtsman they were using Truffle Oil far too liberally on anything that it came on (mac and cheese and fries were the biggest offenders) I would try Yachtsman again but would have a tough time ordering steak as they seem to have so many other cooler menu items than they did in the past...Dat Charcuterie....

Shula's Crab Mac and Cheese is worth the trip alone.

I'm considering STK this January but only for Au Poivre + Pepper Crust and Foie Gras Butter options.

are there any other restaurants outside of the parks that have a good steak besides Yachtsman or Shula's? Not sure if I'm missing any.
Bull & Bear at the Waldorf in Bonnet Creek gets our vote.

We dine at B&B probably 20 times a year (we're only a few miles away) and some of our party regularly go in park attire. Shorts for sure, without any problem. As far as expensive goes, I'm not sure its any more than Shulas.

Been to both numerous times. Both restaurants seem to go through phases of who has the upper hand.
Right now it's not close...

Give me Yachtsman.

Thank you for all the responses, everyone! After looking up the menus, I see Shula's offers either a Baked Potato or Garlic Mashed Potatoes as sides with your steak, which is my favorite choice to go with it. Yachtsman didn't have any kind of potato offering. I'm glad to see Shula's has the majority vote on here, as well. I think I've decided!!!! Shula's it is :)

YSH offers potato with all of its steaks. They have mashed, au gratin, and a couple of other varieties. You can swap out what normally goes with your steak for any of the other preparations.

Interesting. The App I used, ("Magic Guide") to show the Menu did not list this fact at all. I still think I will like the choices from Shula's a little better, thanks for letting me know that, though!
