Yachtsman or Le Cellier

I just was not blown away by the food at Yachstmen. The service and ambience were great....just had better steaks. DH had the porterhouse and I had the filet. Personally I perfer the steaks at Jiko and Cali Grill even though are not steakhouse. DH's Porterhouse was essentially raw even though he ordered it Medium. There are very few Signature places I do not like but I would say for the money I would not recommend Yachstmen.

If you're on the dining plan, I recommend Le Cellier where you will only use 1 table service credit vs. using 2 at YS. We ate at Le Cellier last week and had an excellent experience. Annie was our server and was spectacular, best we had out of the 7 dinners we had on the trip. We also found the food to be excellent, although it seems this restaurant can be hit and miss based on the variety of opinions on the board.

Personally I think most of the restaurants at Disney have gone down hill since the Dining Plan was introduced. We loved Le Cellier, ate there every trip. Now you can't pay me to go there. So I vote for the Yachtsman. But . . . did you ever consider Artiste Point at the Wilderness Lodge??

I found LeCellier very over-rated. The food just wasn't that great, and since I ate there in 2005 the menu has been cut back quite a bit. I am hoping to visit the YS soon.

Still trying to decide what we want to do for Christmas Day! We're staying at BCV and we do want to just take it easy that day...staying close to "home." Wondering how "festive" it would be if we had dinner at the Yachtsman.

Also, do those of you who've used the DDP for Yachtsman...think it was a good deal since you have to use two credits?

I vote Yachtsman, unless money is no object, then go for Shula's next door at the Dolphin.

YSH is a far better restaurant than Le Cellier. Not that Le Cellier is bad - its not - its just that YSH has better service, food, wine list and ambiance.

Wow, we've never made it to the YSH! It's always a choice between the two, and so far we've always gone with Le Cellier, and we've never been disapointed. Well, I am sorry they don't have the maple tenderloin, but I enjoyed the one that they did have in May! Making our CP reservations as soon as we can and are hoping for Le Cellier!

YESSSSSSSS!!! Shula's is very very very good but also more expensive. Still worth it though.

Shula's 10/10
YSH 9/10
Le Cellier 5.5/10

Other restaurants around the world:
Jiko 10/10
Narccoossee's 9/10
Cali Grill 7/10 (but mostly because I don't eat seafood or mushrooms which VERY much limits my options there)
Artist Point 7.5/10
Coral Reef 6/10 (due to extreme inconsistancy)
Kona Cafe 8/10
Spoodles 5/10
Blue Zoo 9.5/10
R & C 6/10
Les Chefs 6/10
WCC 8/10
V & A's 10/10
