Our first day we have 5:00 dinner reservations at the Yachtsman. I was wondering what exactly we should wear. The main reason I'm concerned is because whatever we'll be wearing there we need to pack in our carryons incase ME hasn't delivered our luggage yet. Thanks for your help :)

They say business casual but not everyone does that. My husband will wear a pair of slacks and a nice either short or long sleeve shirt, depending upon the weather. I also wear a nice pair of slacks or capri's with a nice top. You don't have to be over dressed.

Enjoy your dinner, we eat there on every visit.

Hi,

Disney's version of business casual is quite different from the definition used by the rest of the world!

What Disney means by business casual is: no tank tops, no cut-off shorts, no swimwear, and no t-shirts with questionable sayings on them. Other than that, you will see people dressed anywhere from the way psindone describes above to people wearing theme park attire.

Enjoy your meal and your trip!

I would think that unless you are arriving in your bathing suits or pajamas, whatever you are wearing to travel to WDW will be fine. Wait, Disney's dress code doesn't say "no pajamas" so unless you are arriving in your bathing suit, you will be fine. :rotfl:

We usually just wear jean or khaki shorts/capris and a comfortable top to the parks and I was worried that we would be significantly under dressed. I won't stress too much about it now. Thanks!:)

When I made our reservation for there last week it was:

- No swimwear
- No hats
- No torn clothing
- No cut offs
- No tank tops

Also same dress code for Narcoossees

I agree with the PP about the dresscode. It is loosely defined and you will see a wide range of attire.
That said, at signature restaurants we tend to dress up from our theme park attire, and we have found that MOST people do.
DH wears a pair of dress shorts and a co ordinating collared Hawaiian shirt. I wear dress pants and a top. We are most comfortable this way.
Have a great trip
