What, in your opinion, is the best thing you've had at the Yachtsman Steakhouse? Thanks

I really enjoyed the filet...it came in a wine sauce and served with mashed. It was very delicate and tender. It was also the perfect size for me.

My favorite meal is a caesar salad - Filet mignon medium comes with a red cabornet sauce and gratin potatoes - very cheesy and yummy. You can cut the steak with a fork it's so tender.

The sour dough rolls are the best rolls you'll ever have! They have just the right amount of crust, and the flavor is perfect. DH still talks about them, and he's going to try to get some when we visit later this month.

when I go there I only getthe filet, it is th ebest piece of meat I have ever eaten:)

The onion pull apart rolls with real butter and roasted garlic. Omigod it is unbelievable.

Other than that the filet with bernaise sauce is to die for

I had the rib eye and it was good and I subbed a baked potatoe because I have read that others have said the horseradish flavor of the mashed potatoes is too overpowering. Also stay away from the green beans. They are just too aldente and practically inedible

That would be our choice as well. And I'm not sure that I'd rate the filet higher than the rolls. :goodvibes

Has anyone ever ordered the sides: the Brussels sprouts or mushrooms? I'm curious about the quality and portion size.

New York Strip Steak - 12 oz. strip steak, served with peppercorn brandy sauce and potato gratin with Diamond white cheddar

Best steak ever. The sauce was to die for. :thumbsup2

The filet, by far was my favorite. Extremely tender. It's making my mouth water right now....

I had the filet, lovely and tender and they didn't look at me like I was daft when I asked for it for medium well :lmao: As PP said the bread was yummy.

DH still raves about his 24oz Porterhouse steak to this day, he made me put this place on the list so he could eat it again. He is only a little bloke and he wasn't leaving a scrap of meat on that plate for anybody. This thing was huge and came with a few potatoes, he was in food heaven. He hates veggies and mash so this was his favourite meal he has eaten since birth I think.

We've had the mushrooms. You get a large order of these that should be enough for everybody at the table. If you like mushrooms (and we do) they are great.

Brussels sprouts? Couldn't pay me to eat them.

My wife loves to get the creamed spinach when we dine with others that will help her eat them (again, not for me).

The mushrooms side dish is a huge portion and super rich

Thanks everyone, sounds like it's going to be a great meal!

We are going here for Dh's birthday dinner - I am so glad I picked this one! It sounds so good !!!

I've had the mushrooms. Very good, and a large portion, meant to share with the whole table. When we share among three people, there is plenty.

Our DHs sound like twins....mine CANNOT wait for the Porterhouse. It is the only meal he NEEDS set in stone.
