Yachtsman and Flying Fish on Dining Plan ?

We are considering eating at either (or both!) the Yachtsman and Flying Fish on our upcoming trip. We will be on the regular Disney Dining Plan (1 CS, 1 TS, 2 snacks) and realize that both places will cost us 2 TS credits.

Does anyone know what is included at both of these restaurants under the regular dining plan?

I'm guessing that it's 1 app, 1 entree, 1 desert and 1 non-alc drink?

And for the entrees, which entrees are included or not included (I'm guessing some of the more pricey steaks are not included)?

Typically using 2 TS credits at a sig restaurant isn't the best way to use them, but I'm trying to figure out if there is still some value based on what we might order and where we might eat.

For example, if we only had 2 TS credits and were planning on eating at Flying Fish one night and Trails End and Skipper Canteen the other two nights, what would be the best use of those 2 credits?

If we used the 2 TS credits at flying fish for more expensive items and paid out of pocket for Trails End and Skipper Canteen (which are on the cheaper side), overall would we be paying less versus paying for Flying Fish and using the TS credits at Trails End and Skipper Canteen?

Our decision ultimately comes down to what is actually included at the sig restaurants and what we would order...

Thanks for any suggestions and comments!

With the standard dining plan you will only get an entree, dessert and one non alcoholic beverage at each restaurant other than buffets or the Fantasmic/Pixar Dining experience at HS. I think there are one or two DDP entree exclusions from each place but I am not positive on that. You might need to call Disney to check on that one. As far as which option is less expensive, I would say that paying for the signature meal out of pocket would be less expensive than paying for two separate single credit table service meals. This will obviously depend on what you are ordering at each restaurant.

If you go to the allears.net website She lists the menus and what is an up charge using the Disney Dining Plan. At yachtsman the only dish that requires the upcharge is the wagyu beef. Flying fish does't appear to have any dishes that require extra payment.

You can look pricing up on the menus to try to add it up to see how cost would be. We opted for Deluxe Dining for a long weekend in Oct. We have been to Yachtsman's on our last trip loved it so we are going back and we will also be doing FF. For us it's worth the dining plan as it is just paid for and we can enjoy!

Your TS credits are roughly worth $40 each. If you have free dining or you upgraded from the free QS dining, then it may not matter as much. I would look at the menus to see what I might order and just do the math.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Originally I was thinking that an app was included at sig restaurants with the regular dining plan, but I guess not. I think that would have made a difference (although not much) in using the 2 TS credits at the sig restaurant versus the "cheaper" 1 TS restaurants.
