I do not want to start an argument thread so I thought I would be very direct about my question.

I am looking for people that HAVE brought their children under 7 to Yachtsman steakhouse. I am wondering how the experience was. Was their childrens menu decent?? Or did you order off of the regular menu for them.:wizard:

TIA

We have taken our DD twice to Yachtsman, most recently a few weeks ago. She just turned 3 before the last trip. Both times have been a great experience.

We ordered off the children's menu for her -- fish this last time. And she also shared my asparagus appetizer. She loved that!

We'll definitely go back.

We've taken our kids quite a few times, and it was great!!! In fact, its now one of my DDs favorite restaurants!!! On the child's menu, they have grilled chicken and also a child sized portion of steak. Last summer, my DD got the chicken, mashed potatoes, and carrots. She even ate the carrots!!! Yachtsman also has REALLY good creme brulee!! Enjoy your dinner!!!!

We're going twice this upcoming trip!!

I took my children when they under 7 to Yachtsman many times. The experience was great. As I recall, they have a pretty standard kid's menu (which meant mickey mac n' cheese, etc.), which also included a steak (since it is a steakhouse after all).

We too have taken our kids to Yachtman and we had a great experience. There were plenty of other tables around ours with young children.

Like others have said, they have a standard kids menu, but it does have other options than just the basic stuff served everywhere else for kids. If I remember correctly there was a fish and steak selection and my son, who was 3 at the time, loved his dessert...his favorite all week as a matter of fact, which I think was a paint/decorate your own cupcake.

Don't be worried about going there with young children, afterall it's on DISNEY property. ;)

We took our DD 5, this past December and she loved it, too. The dessert was really the highlight--painting a white chocolate Mickey (looked like paper).

If I remember correctly, she had steak off the child's menu. She is used to going out with us, so she behaves accordingly. :)
