Which resort is better for a couple for our 5th anniversary trip :) We will only be staying 3 nights as we will be leaving our two munchkins with grandma !

My hubby says yacht club, but appearence wise beach club looks nicer to me.Thoughts?

We are going in september, if that matters, and i will be about 11 weeks pregnant so i kind of like the beach club is a bit closer from what i understand and a bit less walking perhaps?

oh, we will also be in just a standard room no special views etc.

thanks!

I LOVE them both!!!!! But I do find that the Yacht Club is a little more quieter than the Beach Club. Both resorts are sooo nice, and the Yacht Club is connected to the Beach Club, so its not that much more of a walk to Epcot.

You can't go wrong with either one! I'd suggest calling to see if they both have standard rooms available for when you're going. I find Beach Club is the first to have the standard rooms booked, at least when we've been there.

Have a GREAT trip!

Honestly there really is not much difference. We stayed at both and basically found that the colors are different. You might save 2-3 minutes walking to Epcot from the BC. I never found the YC to be stuffy as some describe it. You can't go wrong with either.

I think the Yacht Club is a little quieter. The rooms also all have full balconies, whereas at the BC you take your chance.
The area around cape may gets a little crazy/noisy crowded at the BC. Seems like there are more small children in that area.
The yacht club has a nice/quiet area with rocking chairs on the porch. Also the quiet pool is usually pretty quiet.
The beach club is a few steps closer to epcot. The YC is a few steps closer to the boat launch to mgm and epcot.
The beach club is a little closer to the slide area and deeper end of stormalong bay. Beach Club is also a little closer to Hurricane Hannahs and The marketplace food court.

They are both beautiful and my favorite place to stay. I know you will enjoy either choice. Have a great trip!

With a standard view you are probably going to look at rooftop or parking lot so I'm not sure how much time you will spend on your balcony. If balcony is important, go with the Yacht Club.

My husband and I prefer the Beach Club. Yes, the lobby is more hustle/bustle than Yacht but I actually love the vibe I get every time I walk into that lobby. The people waiting to get into Cape May are not an issue for me and I find the darkness of the Yacht Club to be a bit overbearing.

The difference in the walk/distance of these two resorts is so minimal I would not base my decision on that.

We love the Beach Club! It's our favorite resort on property. We love the ambiance of it. I think it is more romantic than the YC. It is slightly closer to Epcot too. You'll love Stormalong Bay (although you can use it as guests of either resort).

We've only stayed at the BC, but have visited the YC many times and are trying the YC next year. For an anniversary trip, I would choose the YC. As a pp mentioned, the YC is a little quieter and, IMO, has more of a romantic setting than the BC. But with that said, I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I would choose the one that the theme/decor appeals to you the most. Good luck :wizard:.

I would go with YC. DW and I celebrated our anniversary there one year and it was wonderful.

The quiet pool and hot tub at the YC is tucked away at the end of the building, and at least when we were there really quiet. We had the pool and hot tub virtually to ourselves a couple of nights.

Also, the lounges are a bit quieter and more intimate.

thank you all for the feedback :) i had no idea if they were far apart or not. I read that its an extra 10-15 minutes walk from the yacht club but from what you guys said it seems closer than that.

both do have standard rooms available when we are going! ahhh to decide

I had the same problem when I was booking our upcoming trip...I personally like the look of the beach club much better but decided on the yacht club for the quiet reputation, balcony's and overall more adult feel ...all still with the benefit of SaB and the short walk to Epcot...I havent stayed there yet but my vote would be for yacht club :goodvibes
