Hi all! I've signed my little boy up for one of the Pirate Cruises, leaving from the Yacht Club, and it's about 2 hours, 9:30--11:30 AM. Would this give me and my husband time to run to Epcot and grab some strawberry shortcake from the Sunshine Pavillion (maybe among other things, ha) I am not sure how far the walking distance is....we just need to be back at the Yacht Club at 11:30 or a tad sooner. Thanks for your thoughts, they're appreciated!!

that might be pretty rushed. My son did that same cruise, and we had a relaxing character breakfast at Cape May restaurant in the Beach Club :-)

You would have to try and take a really long time to not make it.

It's about 3/4 miles so lets say walking slow it took you 20 minutes to get there plus 10 minutes at the international gateway, 30 minutes to order and eat and 20 minutes to get back you're looking at about an hour and a half +/-.

You will have plenty of time. It will take 15 minutes to walk to Sunshine Seasons, maybe 20 if you walk slowly. You might even spy your son in Canada. The cruise takes the kids to the KidCot area in Canada. We saw our grandson with his pirate group in Epcot. :)

You have plenty of time. :)

BTW, the strawberry shortcake at Sunshine Seasons is really good. I hope your son has a great time on his cruise.

I don't know what they put in that strawberry shortcake @ Sunshine Seasons, but it's addicting. I've hoofed it over from YC, bought my shortcake and carried it back to the room while others in my party napped! So definitely doable.
France is right by the international gateway and their pastries are pretty good too, btw.

Oh thank you everybody---I appreciate all your help. I've never had the shortcake, and my husband has never been to Walt Disney World, so I just thought it would be fun to do this while we have a little time. Again, thanks a million, everyone is always so helpful here :)
